I got next level respect recently from my new boss. He quoted a Public Enemy song and followed it with, "you probably haven't heard of them." I calmly responded, "I saw them live in concert when they opened for Run DMC" Him—🤯🤯🤯😶😶😶

The typical path is to centralize infrastructure as it's easier upfront. Decentralizing and using smaller, repeatable building blocks provide similar outcomes while de-risking the negative effects of big, centralized infrastructure. The challenge is it takes more work upfront. No one would blink an eye if there were 100 small, micro data centers in a region providing the same capacity as one giant concentrated one. The smaller scale also allows for easier pathways to recycle water. It also dilutes the negative effects

For years Testimony meeting has been a real challenge for me. I’m autistic and when things get off track or go over schedule it would cause me a great deal of anxiety and a little anger. Then a couple of months ago it dawned on me. And pardon the phrasing, but “not my monkeys, not my circus.” Once I accepted that I am not responsible for these things, the wait lifted and Testimony meeting is far more enjoyable.

I often tell members to take the pressure off themselves, quit trying to fix others. Peace will wash over you. Life is simpler. Why? Members, although well-intentioned, are trying to be Christ. Jesus knows His sheep and will heal them. We need to love them, weep with them, and sit with them, not try to fix them

Walls don’t exist on bridges. And if all you know how to build are walls, don’t be surprised when the people closest to you stop crossing over to meet you. “Why go to church?” is actually the easy question. Most of us can answer that in seconds. The harder question is this: Why is the person in your own home not going anymore? Why did the child you raised stop believing? That’s where the soul-searching begins. Because eventually you realize you can’t just wait or pray for them to change. You are the one who needs to change. To listen without fear. To connect without controlling. To love without making every conversation a courtroom. You may ask yourself, “But, Christ called sinners to repentance.” You are correct. Here’s the difference, Christ was perfect and He knew their hearts perfectly. We are all the Pharisees holding stones, we are all the accused sinners. Christ does not condemn, but invites. And sometimes the invitation isn’t pressure to go to church. It’s just a simple invitation of love and listening and that is what starts to remove a wall and build a bridge.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
In July, the Church will open 55 new missions to accommodate a growing number of missionaries already called. The addition will bring the total number of missions to 506 and allow missionaries to better support the growing number of congregations worldwide. “What we are witnessing today is more than growth in numbers,” Elder Dale G. Renlund (@DaleGRenlund) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said in a May 2026 social post. “Across the world, missionaries are demonstrating a deep devotion to the Savior and a sincere consecration to His work. An increasing number express that their fundamental reason for serving is their love for Jesus Christ and their desire to join Him in His work — an inspiring reflection of the faith and commitment that characterize today’s missionary force. “As the work goes forward, this is indeed a joyous and marvelous work and a wonder.” Learn more on Church Newsroom. newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/church…

People are being left behind and they don't know it. This is both something old and something new. The first way is not increasing knowledge and experiential learning. One should never stop learning, always have a thirst for knowledge, and be able to apply it. This is not a new problem. We see it generation after generation where older folks become obsolete because they stopped learning and adapting. The second way is using AI as a powerful tool to augment output and magnify one's capacity. It's a game changer and sifter.

@Darb_Seyah777 @FaithLikeAbish2 You work with your Bishop. The ecclesiastical leader will contact the former spouse. You don't have to be in direct communication with the former spouse. The Bishop handles it

@FaithLikeAbish2 Don’t ask us about your saving ordinances. Contact your stake president. He holds the keys and can get you the right information. My wife and I needed First Presidency approval, but we eventually got it.

@ReseRice4 Riding a bike while delivering newspapers door-to-door at 11 years old. Those Sunday papers must've weighed 50 pounds strapped to me front and back. I had to throw the papers on the driveways while riding by and outrun the dogs!

Boys aren’t jumping fences, riding bikes for miles, running from dogs, and jumping up and down cars all day while hooping multiple times per day either. All that landing, running, changing direction was building strength. As a kid, I didn’t even know what sore really was.

Athletes aren’t developing their calf and quads like they used to back in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s! Blame the Training staffs at the highest levels for not understanding Simple Sports Performance Training! ESPECIALLY Basketball Trainers in the Culture…all those fancy new movements and guys are tearing joints I never knew existed! 🤦🏽‍♂️

Do good in the world, yes! Bring the light, bring the positive energy, bring a good attitude! 🙌🫶 Said President Joseph F. Smith: “All that we have comes from [God]. … In and of ourselves we are but a lifeless lump of clay. Life, intelligence, wisdom, judgment, power to reason, all are the gifts of God to the children of men. He gives us our physical strength as well as our mental powers. … We should honor God with our intelligence, with our strength, with our understanding, with our wisdom, and with all the power that we possess. We should seek to do good in the world. This is our duty.”

I was baptized and confirmed as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1988. This was widely known and not a secret the church was trying to hide. I ended up attending BYU starting in 1989. It was an open discussion topic at BYU. I've never not heard it brought up in an adult church class at some point during the year. I started as a seminary teacher in 2003. It was in the manuals as a topic. I'm not discounting your experience. Quite the opposite. I can envision how it is possible to grow up like you did. I can imagine you being very shocked when you found out in your mid-20's. We all have had various levels of interactions and education surrounding church topics. The challenge for each of us is to not assume that our experience is the universal experience.

I served a Mormon mission from 2002 - 2004. None of us missionaries knew that Joseph Smith practiced polygamy. I was never taught that as a Mormon kid. I don't think I found out until I was in my mid-twenties, and I didn't find out about it at church. I found out about it online.

“Why haven’t you ever heard of this?” Maybe cause you never looked at what is literally right on our website. Hahaha (Seriously this is taught in all Church history classes)

I'm in St George on biz. I thought a hurricane was coming to St George! The shelves were bare at the Distribution Center inside Deseret Book. Like Walmart before disaster strikes. Who could've imagined that sleeveless garments are like food, water, and toilet paper for survival!

Are we here yet? What can you do to change yourself to align with the vision? What's your next move? "The cause of God is one common cause, in which the Saints are alike all interested; we are all members of the one common body, and all partake of the same spirit, and are baptized into one baptism and possess alike the same glorious hope. The advancement of the cause of God and the building up of Zion is as much one man’s business as another’s. The only difference is, that one is called to fulfill one duty, and another another duty; 'but if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it, and if one member is honored all the rest rejoice with it, and the eye cannot say to the ear, I have no need of thee, nor the head to the foot, I have no need of thee;' party feelings, separate interests, exclusive designs should be lost sight of in the one common cause, in the interest of the whole." Joseph Smith, Jr.

Are formal ward missionary plans not a thing?? Being a convert, and in the business I am, I feel like I need a formal plan established to be able to set goals, actionable items, and targets for accomplishing them. Why has there been no ward missionary plans??? 🤦‍♂️
