@th3jmanx Each sequential crouch after the first should completely remove Aim Assist, Stability, and Range. It should also uninstall your game and permaban you.

I'll be the guy to call it out. "Crouch spamming" is the most annoying, childish bull shit out there. Kinda wish there was a limit on how fast you can spam that garbage. Curious to hear if people agree or disagree with this one.

not expecting anyone at Bungie to answer necessarily but I have so many questions here. - was this cut Lightfall content? - was this always the larger storytelling plan? - was this developed quickly to respond to Veil concerns? really unexpected!

I'm a fan of Shroud, and I have a lot of respect for his PvP opinions. But I disagree with this one. While I am not opposed to a 'barebones' style labs mode with a focus on gunplay, I think what he is suggesting here would essentially kill the "identity" of Destiny 2. The variety of subclasses, abilities, and weapons are ingrained into the experience. Removing all/most of that would inevitability create a more balanced experience, but ultimately, that would leave us with something that isn't the Destiny we know and love. I want balanced PvP as much as anyone, believe me, but not at the cost of what makes this game unique.

Destiny matchmaking is killing this game for me. 4 stack sweating in Quickplay and it's par for the course. Can't try new weapons or this is what happens.

This is another great point, by yes, another *very* brave man. 👏☺️ Learning to see the forest as well as the trees, and factor in security, maintainability, data integrity and scale, performance, etc is a *critical* part of growing up as an engineer into senior roles.

You are right! Which is why I qualified it extensively, saying things like "TENDS to be" and "not every architect, but..." 🙃 You might also note that I didn't include solutions architects in this thread. There is absolutely a real and vibrant use for architects who advise.

I feel like y'all are making my point for me, because this is not ok, it's a problem. Again I feel like the comparison to ops is instructive. When you make architecture someone else's job and scrap the expectation that it's a core skill, you get weaker engineers & worse systems.

@CTerevinto @mipsytipsy Brave man, speaking out like this. As an engineer turned architect, I see too many engineer's "in the trenches" getting lost in the weeds and failing to see the forest for the trees. It's like saying carpenters are more important than the architect bc they hammer nails.

I don't know if this is a troll or not, but with all apologies to my many wonderful, highly skilled "Architect" friends, I tend to think it's a bullshit role. 🙃 I believe that only the people building software systems get to have opinions on how those systems get built.
