@jdxcode One thing I'm still trying to figure out is whether I should be using my bootstrap mise.toml as my global mise.toml; for example what I don't want (and what currently happens in my setup) is for my bootstrap to get updated every time I trust a new mise config in some project.

`mise bootstrap` is coming out of experimental in the next release: mise.jdx.dev/bootstrap.html

@shadcn I think the problem is that no one did next edit prediction as well as Cursor. So every other IDE has a subpar experience here IMO. I’d be fine if I could just get NEP in Vim that’s as good as Cursor.

I still need a really good code editor. Are we going too fast in the other direction?

I don’t use nvm or any other language runtime manager. Mise controls what version of Node (and Go, Rust, etc) and npm that I use, sets directory-specific environment variables, defines tasks, and more. It also works great with fnox to manage development secrets. fnox.jdx.dev

@_clem @jdxcode trying to understand it better...if my monorepo is already entirely Typescript, seems like it's no different than using `pnpm` for everything

@jdxcode There is! I just wasn't sure how it did verification. With GitHub links for example, it could maybe parse them out and verify that the resource exists (and then assume the link is valid).

@_clem Is there a setting to turn it off? If not we should have that

@jdxcode Is Communique link verification meant to work with private repos? I get 404s on every single valid link it tries to insert into release notes.

Two months ago I was fired by Google for creating the Google Workspace CLI. It went viral, hit #1 on Hacker News, gained thousands of GitHub stars and many thousands of actual users in just a couple days. It was an incredible, confusing journey, from directors and leaders asking what they could learn from the tool to getting grilled by legal about why the Google logo and brand colors are on the Google Workspace GitHub code repositories. I think the cause was that Workspace and certain leaders (and projects) were afraid of being disrupted. But the fear wasn't specific to my CLI, it was a broader fear in what agents meant for Workspace. Either way, the irony of my termination was the announcement at Google Cloud Next two days before I was fired that an official Workspace CLI was coming. I want this out there because it is easier for me to explain my story and it is an experience I want to fully own. It's also part of my healing. Nearly 7 years at Google was an incredible opportunity for me and I was fortunate to have wonderful teammates and a manager that fully supported me through these last few months. Thank you.
