Iran spends just $90 on its military for every Iranian citizen, according to @SIPRIorg data. The US spends $2900. Israel spends $5000. The US and Israel may try to hurt Iran's economy, but they cannot make Iran poor enough fast enough to change the course of this war.

@tparsi Wrong. "Equal application" means equal accountability, it goes both ways. One can not massacre it's own citizens, fund terror proxy groups that are hostile to neighbors, and then later demand international law shield you from consequences.

“Military success” by what metric? Iran is fighting the war it prepared for: absorbing strikes while hitting U.S. bases, radar, air defenses, with Strait of Hormuz still effectively closed. The strategic costs for the U.S. could be enormous depending on how war ends.
