Ben White never recovered from 23/24. And you can hardly blame the club. Jurrien Timber was signed to relieve that burden. Who’d have thought that he’d suffer an ACL damage in the first game of the season. Tomiyasu wasn’t fit too. That left White as the only right-back. He put his body through walls to be fit time and again that season. He never recovered. Timber had taken his place in the 24/25 season too, and again, was the only fit option in an injury-ravaged campaign. Residues of that pain is still in his body because he when straight into regular action following his recovery from the ACL damage. Now, White is injured again, and Timber isn’t fit too. The demands are huge. Those bodies are physically shot.
