Today, we’re releasing a feature that allows Claude to control your computer: Mouse, keyboard, and screen, giving it the ability to use any app.
I believe this is especially useful if used with Dispatch, which allows you to remotely control Claude on your computer while you’re away.

Yesterday the United States government banned all non-US produced computer networking equipment from the United States over security concerns.
Network stuff currently in use can stay, however moving forward they must be produced in the United States or be given special approval ... or stop selling in the United States.

Finally someone said it. Common mistake security teams make: it’s easy to buy tools, esp when vendors mislead you with fancy dashboards showing what you THINK you want, but not what’s actually useful to you.

I mean, I'm not going to protest or anything silly like that. And it's not so much that I even disagree with it, I mean, if ever there was a reason to make a law against something it would be this. I guess I just worry when laws are made around "We don't think that should happen so we will make it illegal".
Because that kind of reasoning can then be used in other places as well. Against other things that aren't as morally repugnant.
Like I said, I'm putting aside my personal feelings of disgust about the situation and speaking simply as to the worrisome nature of the mechanics of the law itself. Because let's be honest, politicians are known for using emotional situations to slip laws on the books as precedent setters so they can make other laws down the road by saying "see, we already have law A on the books so it's obviously okay to make Law B"

A Roblox programmer has been arrested by HSI on charges of possessing child pornography and importing a child sex doll.
According to the arrest affidavit, probation and parole officers conducted a routine compliance check at 30-year-old Jamie Borne’s home on February 25 and spotted a child-sized sex doll in plain view in his bedroom.
After consulting with the Attorney General’s Office, officers returned on February 27 with a member of the AG’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force.
The investigator noted that the doll had features resembling a child under 18 and was dressed in children’s clothing, with several BDSM items and condoms placed nearby.
When questioned, Borne admitted he had imported the doll from China and repeatedly mentioned feeling “very lonely.”
He then confessed to having child pornography on his devices, leading to his immediate arrest.
He faces one count of possessing, trafficking, or importing a child sex doll and 40 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
Devices including laptops, external hard drives, and cellphones were seized for forensic examination.
