It’s also good news that the opposition is now led by Eizenkot and not Bennet. Very big difference

Good. We don’t need the ICC. We have plenty of International Law at home.

Auschwitz is not Gaza, and Gaza is not Auschwitz. The suffering of our people in Gaza is undeniable, horrific, and beyond words. But comparing it to the Holocaust neither honors Palestinian suffering nor helps our cause. These comparisons often come from Holocaust deniers or antisemitic activists in the West who shamelessly exploit the suffering of innocent Palestinians to advance their own hateful agendas. We can condemn the atrocities in Gaza and demand justice without comparing them to another people's tragedy. Every victim deserves to have their story told on its own terms. The Palestinian tragedy does not need to be measured against anyone else's to be worthy of empathy or justice. It stands on its own. I'm tired of these self-appointed "pro-Palestine" activists in the West who think they're helping us by making these comparisons. They're not. They're exploiting our suffering to promote their own ideological agendas, and in doing so, they disrespect both Holocaust victims and the people of Gaza.

If you found out an insider trader was heavily shorting a company, would you bet against him because your fundamentals model says to? No! And that was basically what I was doing with the weather.

@_decap @academic_la A lot of this silly crap going around, where unfounded fears of antisemitism become something countries should worry and especially *do something* about, as if implausible hypothetical antiseminitism will not be in infinite supply for as long as they cave to it.

It is genuinely fascinating how widespread this "Taqiyya means Muslims can lie and deceive about anything so don't trust them" myth is despite there existing no such command anywhere in the texts, and every single google search telling you that Taqiyya is mainly used by Shia Muslims, and just tells them you can lie and claim you are a Non-Muslim if your life or the life of your family is literally in danger. It just goes to show that even if something has absolutely no evidence at all behind it, the goyim will never second guess it and munch it all up.

Western progressives simply refuse to engage with why most Israelis think the “two-state solution” would be suicidal. They refuse to think seriously about why Israelis cannot surrender the mountains overlooking Tel Aviv and surrounding Jerusalem. It’s unbelievably patronising.

Beautiful insight into the Arab mind.

I feel qualified to chime in here. Being middle class is a relatively new thing for most of the developing world. A table full of food feels luxurious to the Thai, the Turk, the Arab, the Indian, in a way westerners don’t quite grasp. Hunger is too far distant from our psyche. I look at a table like this and I see gluttony and waste. The Turk feels content with the feast laid out before him. The table laden with food represents success to him in the same way westerners view a well manicured lawn or a decent wine collection. They are still at the safety stage of industrialization. Westerners want self-actualization.

To the brown/black mind, filling their table with food, regardless of whether they can actually finish it or not, is seen as a sign of having made it. Sudden access to abundance doesn't trigger "moderation" or "savor it." It triggers "stock up before it vanishes."

This type of conspiracy theory retardation is why Arab countries are poor and backwards
