@bolsademiedo @SyrianLib The bar is just very low post Oct 7. Any Israeli politician that countersignals settlers is good enough for now.

@SyrianLib I get the praise for someone like Yair Golan who at least tries to play the optics game. But Eizenkot? The guy disavows the very notion of a Palestinian state.

@seld_on It is more accurate to say that Christianity spread these values in Western civilisation than to say they were invented from scratch by Christianity.

I consider it needful to push back against sloppy interpretations of history in service of the hackneyed idea that all of contemporary ethics flows from Christianity, so here is a passage from Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics on 'greatness of soul':

@JoosyJew It is not a coincidence, the Holocaust is such a defining event for Western civilisation that it’s the moral focal point for everything that’s come after. It is the natural result of placing so much importance on it in education and media.

It’s more than that. The Holocaust comparison is intentionally multilayered antisemitism. One layer is to create false parity. Lift the Gaza war up to a horror level it cannot reach in reality, and drag the Holocaust down to make it less unique. Make them even. In reality, they’re incomparable as world events. Another pernicious layer is to force all Jews (not Israelis per se) to own the guilt of Gaza, to label Jews as bad as Nazis. “You’re doing to them EXACTLY what Nazis did to you”. It’s untrue, but it turns the knife. Of all the horrors of history, Palestinianism just conveniently happened to land on the Holocaust as its favourite benchmark? No. It did it intentionally, to diminish the suffering of Jews and “boost” Gaza. Comparing the Holocaust to the Gaza war is just another callous manipulation of Jewish history, appropriated by Palestinianism. Why? Because Palestinianism is evil.
Ihab Hassan@IhabHassane

Auschwitz is not Gaza, and Gaza is not Auschwitz. The suffering of our people in Gaza is undeniable, horrific, and beyond words. But comparing it to the Holocaust neither honors Palestinian suffering nor helps our cause. These comparisons often come from Holocaust deniers or antisemitic activists in the West who shamelessly exploit the suffering of innocent Palestinians to advance their own hateful agendas. We can condemn the atrocities in Gaza and demand justice without comparing them to another people's tragedy. Every victim deserves to have their story told on its own terms. The Palestinian tragedy does not need to be measured against anyone else's to be worthy of empathy or justice. It stands on its own. I'm tired of these self-appointed "pro-Palestine" activists in the West who think they're helping us by making these comparisons. They're not. They're exploiting our suffering to promote their own ideological agendas, and in doing so, they disrespect both Holocaust victims and the people of Gaza.

I understand that a lot of these claims are unfalsifiable and difficult to prove. I even understand why people are mad at me. But they are not unfounded. For the statistics we do have, for example for violent hate crimes which are difficult to fake, Jews top the stats as victims.
Ridiculously Overbuilt Cannon Discharges@epicaricature

@_decap @academic_la A lot of this silly crap going around, where unfounded fears of antisemitism become something countries should worry and especially *do something* about, as if implausible hypothetical antiseminitism will not be in infinite supply for as long as they cave to it.

@oteycoueye Yes. Islam discourages lying more than any other religion. It doesn't matter. Despite what Muslims will tell you, you don't create high trust societies by teaching people religion.

@academic_la Because leftists are deranged and the Palestinian cause has worse allies than enemies. All the allegations are believable to me.

The pathological need we have as Jews to invent antisemitism never ceases to amaze. Sometimes putting in an IV does not go smoothly. We need to stop pretending to be victims. No one is buying it.

@ptkrje No it's very logical actually. If you advocate for a Palestinian state unconditionally today, you are advocating for another Gaza situation. Any ally of the Palestinian cause who is not a degenerate leftist retard needs to understand this.

@MaytalKowalski That is why the status quo is acceptable. Annexation is bad, one state is untenable, and right now a two state solution is not possible. There are no options. The problem is settlers. If the Western world cares at all, the liberal solution is simple, sanction the settlers.

Then you'll need to come up with another way to end the occupation of Palestinian land. If there is a better solution than two states, propose it. But you don't get to occupy and annex another people/land because you're scared.
Eylon Levy@EylonALevy

Western progressives simply refuse to engage with why most Israelis think the “two-state solution” would be suicidal. They refuse to think seriously about why Israelis cannot surrender the mountains overlooking Tel Aviv and surrounding Jerusalem. It’s unbelievably patronising.

Rightoids will use any excuse they can to apply their retarded racial theories to other cultures then wonder why their enemies run circles around them. This is just how a traditionally large family sets the breakfast table at home. It's not that fucking complicated.
George 🇦🇺@Georgie_KK

To the brown/black mind, filling their table with food, regardless of whether they can actually finish it or not, is seen as a sign of having made it. Sudden access to abundance doesn't trigger "moderation" or "savor it." It triggers "stock up before it vanishes."
