@seannerall 1) I read the story about my interaction with the NSPCA on my farm in the Eastern cape with great interest and I was just wondering when the venerable institutions such as the Cape Times decided to abandon the basic tenet of journalism which would be to afford the

In this episode of the NicoleB Show, I am honoured to talk to someone who brings both personal experience and deep historical insight to the table. I am chatting with Shane Brody about his new book. Shane is not only a close friend and a university peer but also the author of South Africa - A Land Divided, a powerful and eye-opening account that explores the history of settler families, land, and politics in South Africa. His work delves into the complex and often painful legacy of our country's past, giving voice to stories that are often overlooked. But Shane’s connection to this history isn’t just academic; it's deeply personal. He is also a survivor of the APLA terrorist attack on the Spur in Grahamstown after the end of Apartheid. This traumatic event marked a turbulent and violent chapter in our country’s past. Today, we’ll be discussing land, memory, trauma, and resilience — and how South Africa’s past continues to influence its present and future. In this episode of the NicoleB Show, I am honoured to talk to someone who brings both personal experience and deep historical insight to the table. I am chatting with Shane Brody about his new book.

Shocking stats from Sean Walsh, KAL CEO. R2 billion investment in alternative energy by the 200 packhouses in the Western Cape. With better energy supply, that investment is now dormant, but money that's out of the system for the next 20 years! @landbou @BFAP6 @africanfarming_

De Aar wool farmer Marius Pienaar on his friendship with communal wool farmer Mthunzi Ntutela. On his first visit to Marius' farm, Mthunzi first let the De Aar police know who he was visiting, just in case! Great stories. @PannarSeedZA @SENWES @Nedbank @vkblandbou @landbou

Dear @CyrilRamaphosa, there's a country where 7000 people were murdered in the last quarter of 2023. Please report this country to the ICJ and get them to issue a instruction to that country to create a working police force. Spoiler alert. It's South Africa.

Tonight a giant was remembered, when Landbouweekblad awarded the Dr Michael Bradfield merit award to Louw van Reenen for efforts by local feedlots like Beefmaster and Karaan to develop red-meat export markets. A rising tide lifts all ships, Michael used to say. @landbou

Vivian Jakobs from Du Toit Group's Crispy Farming from Witzenberg is the Westen Cape dept's agri worker of the year. What an utterly cool competition, and the only of its sort in the country. Just amazing the skill of workers on our export farms! @landbou @africanfarming_

Magma Security and Investigations received information about two cars driving on the road from Mgwali suspected to be laden with meat. The silver grey Avanza that matched the description from the informant was spotted travelling on the N6 in the Stutterheim area and the vehicle was stopped and searched. It was loaded with cattle meat and the driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded. Six other men also arrested. The cattle were stolen.
