Implementing a #Virtual ED in a QLD Metro HHS was:
✅Effective: 70% of triaged patients avoided the physical ED
✅Safe: only 1.2% of Virtual ED managed cases unexpectedly required hospital admission within 48 hrs
✅Acceptable and grew in demand

For now, many prefer to conduct physical examinations & assess exercise capacity in-person - more work is required in this space to enable this to be done well remotely. However, more education and supervised exercise training could be delivered remotely to bridge access gaps

- most CR services have capacity & readiness to provide hybrid (in-person & telehealth) care but require specific supports to enable this.
