The new trailer for Christopher Nolan's ‘THE ODYSSEY’ has been released. In theaters on July 17.

I need a comprehensive report on what's been going on with Matthew Vaughn lately. Kingsman sequels that were announced (and written!), but never produced. A secret spin-off that came out and bombed. A whole trilogy of Kick-Ass threequels that's ALREADY MADE, but not released.

A real life podcast experience sounds like a threat

@JFreerz Red on yellow kill a fellow! Red on black friend of jack! You have a kill a fellow in your hand sir...

After a trip to Moscow, rock star David Bowie is briefly detained by customs officers at the Poland-Russia border over a collection of Nazi books and mementos with which he travels. He explains that it is for research on a film about Joseph Goebbels and he is released after a few hours.

@xenocryptsite Ghostbusters? Nostalgia bait. Peanuts? Never gone away. Jurassic World? Nostalgia bait. James Bond? Never gone away. Despite never really having gone away, new Star Wars stuff is usually nostalgia bait.

the parry is 100% the defining mechanic of the last decade souls games popularised the parry, now even doom & spider-man have a parry, expedition 33's loop is built on parries, any game with swords is expected to have it. and it still feels satisfying to pull off in every game

#Michael is aiming to set the record for biggest music biopic opening weekend with a $70 million-plus debut. Some exhibitors are predicting the final number will be closer to $80 million, far above 2018’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” ($51 million) and 2015’s “Straight Outta Compton” ($60 million, the current record holder). “Michael” is expected to be even bigger internationally. It’s projected to earn $75 million to $80 million from 82 markets. Globally, the film should end up with a stellar $140 million to $150 million (or more) by Sunday. variety.com/2026/film/box-…

possibly a trite and obvious point, but i think what it reveals is how many people out there, if given the right conditions, could be excellent actors, musicians, whatever. talent is a common quality

@xenocryptsite Box office didn’t collapse for sure but movie quality did, although I liked the doctor strange movie - that Thor movie I wasn’t a fan of and haven’t met someone that did like it

Marvel ended for me as soon as Tony Stark exited, and frankly from most people judging by the collapse of box office afterwards. Killing beloved characters will always feel more like salacious corporate mandates than real story beats. The execs may not believe in Iron Man, Han Solo, James Bond, but we do.
