Key word here is FOLLOW. Instructions are fine if they have space for a Learners exploration and expression, its when the ‘How’ is limited to following what’s expected and demonstrated that stifles learning.

If you let kids just get on and play, it will be chaos, it will be unsafe….. Have we lost touch with what play is & lost faith in kids to be capable of organising their own play? We can kickstart free play. Just open your pitches to all! Be the change you want to see. ❤️⚽️

@deewhock Thankyou Sir Hock, School system is a classic example. Innate wisdom would be to realise the powerful dynamics of Play for child (and adult) development. But we’d rather them be able to sit down, be quiet and recite time tables and regurgitate ‘knowledge’.

Organized systems of knowledge tend to lock themselves within walls of assumption, behind moats of self adulation, eager to pour boiling oil of abuse on common sense, and innate wisdom. Modern science is no exception.
