Once you’re under 4 million, you’ve got to be worried that you’re in a death spiral,” said one CBS insider. “If they can’t retain an audience in the middle of a war, God help you when the war ends.” On top of that, CBS' morning show from which Dokoupil was poached is failing spectacularly as well with an average of 1.8 million viewers, down 13% from last year and.
