Now let's say you were using the earlier strategy with cash secured puts and your strike hit during the expiry. You're left holding the asset (BTC/HYPE). What now?
What you can do here are covered calls.
This is when you want to sell the asset you own at a higher price, and get paid a premium.
Why I like it
→ you already hold the asset, this just makes it work harder
→ premium hits your wallet immediately
→ if it doesn't get called, you keep everything and repeat
→ Rysk points stacking on top
Steps:
1) Make sure you hold the asset (eg: UETH/UBTC) on HyperEVM
2) Go to app.rysk.finance and input code rOldirhzVmTX
3) Earn > Covered Calls > Choose Asset (eg UBTC/UETH)
4) Pick a strike date
5) Pick a price you'd be happy to sell your asset at
6) Approve, and earn the upfront premium
7) On the strike date:
If price stays below your strike → you keep everything. free yield.
If price rises above → you sell at the price you wanted, and still kept the premium.
Potential Risks Include:
• Smart contract risk
• You cap your upside - if ETH/BTC moons past your strike you miss the gains above it
• Asset price dropping while position is open (you still hold the underlying)
• Liquidity locked up for the period
