@chitexemekus@OurFavOnlineDoc@obakanyin Young fool, yes you can call it payback…cos they drove us out too. But ours was largely backed by economic crisis after Oil boom ended.
@_giito@OurFavOnlineDoc@obakanyin Old fool Ghana must go was a response go the xenophobia committed by Ghanaians against Nigerians. It was diplomatic action. Olodo
@PhillipSibanda8 We never learn from history. The wealth of ur nation is constantly exploited, u feel it, it hurts. But then you’re made to believe ur neighbor, going through the same experience is the reason. Nigeria played this script before with Ghana. Today, Ghana is visa-free for Africans.
@KabassaMohawk@ishaqsamaila5 He probably spent the 2years fighting forces that need the immunity to remain. And when they saw he would not give up…removing him from office was no longer an option but removing him from this world.
“Remove immunity. Monitor the powerful. Follow the money.”
Back in 2007, President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua proposed a bold anti-corruption plan—scrap immunity for top officials and introduce independent monitors to track assets, bank accounts, and wealth of those in power.
Nearly two decades later, his words still hit hard.
Nigeria doesn’t lack ideas. It needs the will to act.
— Yar’Adua (Sept. 2007)

LATE BRIGADIER GENERAL BRAIMAH, OTHER FALLEN HEROES LAID TO REST WITH MILITARY HONOURS
In a solemn and emotionally charged ceremony, the nation on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, laid to rest Late Brigadier General Omo Braimah, Captain Azubuike Michael Esimai, and other gallant soldiers who paid the supreme price in the line of duty. The burial, held at the Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri, Borno State, was marked by deep sorrow, honour and reflection.
Amidst grieving families and fellow comrades, the fallen heroes were accorded full military honours in recognition of their selfless service and unwavering commitment to the defence of the nation. Their sacrifice serves as a poignant reminder of the heavy price paid daily by members of the Armed Forces to safeguard the peace, unity and security of Nigeria.
In attendance were the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff and other senior military officers, all gathered to honour the courage and dedication of the departed.
In their tributes, the Governor, the Minister of Defence, the CDS, and the COAS described the fallen soldiers as true patriots who stood firm in the face of danger and made the ultimate sacrifice so that others might live in safety. They noted that their bravery and sense of duty will continue to inspire generations and remain etched in the nation’s history.
With heavy hearts, prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of their souls, while citations detailing their service and sacrifice were read before their next of kin. The grief of their families underscored the human cost of the nation’s security efforts, even as their courage remains a source of pride and honour.
As the nation mourns these heroes, it is reminded that the freedom and stability enjoyed today come at a profound cost, paid by brave men who placed duty above self and gave everything in service to their fatherland.
@HQNigerianArmy Nice one. Please always do proper documentation. These images are absurd. Plus, we are in a digital age where videos are easily accessible to anyone. Please always use video recording and interview the terrorists that were caught. This will help us bring back faith in your work.
ARMY STRIKES IPOB/ESN STRONGHOLDS, RECOVERS EXPLOSIVE, RANSOM FUNDS
Troops of the Nigerian Army (NA) under Operation EASTERN SANITY have intensified offensive operations across the South-East, decisively overrunning IPOB/ESN strongholds and pushing the criminal elements into disarray. Relentless pressure mounted by the troops, backed by superior firepower, intelligence and joint-force synergy, has continued to expose the group’s weakening structure and inability to withstand sustained military action.
On 14 April 2026, joint troops of Sector 1, supported by the Air Component of Operation UDO KA, launched a precision strike and clearance operation in Ajali Forest, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State. The offensive forced IPOB/ESN elements into a chaotic retreat, abandoning critical assets, including an anti-tank Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The failed attempt to deploy the device underscores the group’s desperation and declining operational competence. The IED was safely secured by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Security team, averting potential harm to troops and civilians.
Troops have since established firm dominance over the general area, sustaining aggressive clearance operations and systematically dismantling all terrorist infrastructure. The deliberate destruction of hideouts using chainsaws and bulldozers has stripped the criminals of cover, leaving them exposed, scattered and unable to regroup or mount any meaningful resistance.
In a related intelligence-driven operation on the same day, troops of 82 Division Garrison deployed at Adani in Uzo-Uwani LGA, acting on credible intelligence from the Department of State Services, tracked and intercepted ransom proceeds linked to a kidnapping syndicate. The swift raid led to the arrest of a notorious kidnap suspect, further exposing the group’s reliance on criminality to sustain its collapsing network. Exploitation of the area led to the recovery of a pump-action rifle and the sum of Two Million Naira (₦2,000,000), Cash believed to be ransom funds, from the suspect’s residence.
The suspect and recovered items have been handed over to the appropriate authorities, for a through investigation to track other members of the criminal gang. The operation further degraded the IPOB/ESN’s operational and financial capacity. These outcomes further demonstrate that IPOB/ESN elements are steadily losing ground, resources and cohesion under sustained military pressure.
The Nigerian Army remains unrelenting and fully committed to annihilating all criminal and insurgent elements, denying them any sanctuary. The NA further assures law-abiding citizens of its unwavering resolve to protect lives and property and urges continued public support as operations intensify to restore enduring peace and stability across the South-East.
@SaharaReporters Just after hearing that the Air Force mistakenly bombed its own citizens, terrorists carried out a perfect ambush with a colonel's life as their prize.
This incompetence in the force is heartbreaking to the families of those who lost their lives. Please stay strong.
Water up to their waist, rifles held high, while enemies watch in the bush. Many abuse them online, while our soldiers move through dangers for Nigeria.
If they ever leave the frontline, we won’t be able to sleep in our houses.
Support our troops.
@_giito@NigeriaStories Thats a very good idea
But come to look at it carefully and you see that 80% it is not going to work because the government has bought the mind of alot of persons who would come out to sabotage the protest ment to benefit us all
@_giito@Feeztm@Owopet_ Name where that has ever happened
The statistics is already showing you the low enrollment into the Military is at an all time low, and then you are hearing of the Living wage of an average Military Personnel, coupled with the oath of silence.
@HARRISON_UJE@NigeriaStories I know right, but imagine a nationwide protest like the scale of EndSARS…but this time the goal of the protest is Better Military Welfare (1m monthly)
