@Man0nEarth @AmosMurphy_ because if the first foul is punished how it should be in real time and the ref blows his whistle and gives it then the foul on raya happens while the ball is dead and therefore irrelevant

@Man0nEarth @AmosMurphy_ again your entitled to your own opinion, but in my opinion the most important thing is who makes the first foul, not who makes the most ‘impactful’ foul that is just backwards thinking imo, and in this situation there’s 2 fouls on West Ham players before raya is fouled

@Man0nEarth @AmosMurphy_ anyway this discussion is pointless as ofc you will defend arsenal no matter what which is fair enough but I just think it’s an extremely harsh decision on West Ham that could cost them massively in the relegation battle and they’ve got every right to feel hard done by

@Man0nEarth @AmosMurphy_ those examples you’ve given are totally pointless to the situation that happened, the foul on raya had nothing to do with who touched the ball? It isn’t a foul just because he’s closest to the ball, if anything it should be who commits the first foul, which is trossard on pablo

@Man0nEarth @AmosMurphy_ No I mean can’t, as in you can and it won’t be given, since when did fouls start getting prioritised on vicinity to the ball? The fact that raya is fouled closer to the ball doesn’t overrule the fact that rice/gabriel/trossard all committed fouls in the box, foul in the box = pen

@_henrytreasure_ @AmosMurphy_ Do you mean can? It is false to say that prioritising fouls that have a largest material impact on outcome at setpieces sets a precedent for any 'off ball' foul. We all know the difference.

@_henrytreasure_ @AmosMurphy_ It doesn't matter because of this thing called a football and where the football was. Have you ueard of the football? Took them one replay and 40 seconds to see it was a clear foul on the only player who got close to ball contact. Theb they faffed about.

@DoseDirty @AmosMurphy_ I’m not saying I personally don’t think it was a foul, what I’m saying is the fact they overruled the on field decision when there is probably 3 other fouls going on, trossard and rice grabbing and Gabriel pulling the shirt, is fortunate for arsenal and very harsh on West Ham

@_henrytreasure_ @AmosMurphy_ That’s just dishonest. Contact on a goalkeeper is allowed, and most goals you are thinking about is where players are making contact with keepers. How many goals have you seen scored where the keeper hands are being held down while trying to catch the ball? Zero.

@football_pb @AmosMurphy_ doesn’t matter now it’s done and who knows West Ham could’ve got the pen and missed but fans are just frustrated at the inconsistency and the fact they overturned the on field decision when there was so many subjective decisions and challenges which in my opinion is dubious

@football_pb @AmosMurphy_ I don’t think it needs a rule change, the refs just need to be not afraid to penalise it, but again sometimes they do sometimes they don’t, and again look at your game v united, lammens is impeded and no foul, Donnarumma was held in our game against I think Brentford and no foul

@DoseDirty @AmosMurphy_ Tbf fouls don’t get much more clear or obvious than the foul from rice… but the issue isn’t the foul on raya as I think it probably is a foul, the issue everyone has is that they’ve let a lot of fouls on keepers go this season but penalised that one strictly

@_henrytreasure_ @AmosMurphy_ Because the foul on Raya is clear and obvious, it’s the most significant action in the sequence and is the main thing that refs have stamped out for the last 2 years; no holding the keeper

@football_pb @AmosMurphy_ 😂come on… ofc it’s a foul, he grabs him round the waist and holds him there as he runs, the ref dismisses it because the VAR tells him straight away that it happened after the raya foul which would’ve made it irrelevant however in the replay it’s obvious that the foul is before

@_henrytreasure_ @AmosMurphy_ It’s not a foul from Rice, it’s holding and jostling seen on every single corner. Ref dismisses it in the same vain as the Leo holding

@AmosMurphy_ Massive cock up from VAR, diverts the ref away from even considering the foul from Rice

Erling Haaland to Manchester City, here we go! Haaland has passed medical tests as new Man City player today, he’s back in Dortmund. It will be OFFICIAL this week 🚨🔵 #MCFC Man City told BVB board that they will activate release clause [closer to €60m than €75m] in few hours.
