This take is tiresome. You don’t get better at hyper skilled things by spreading yourself out. Other sports don’t help you hit a baseball better. Other sports don’t improve your touch in soccer. They don’t help your shot and ball handling in basketball.

Most HS S&C programs would be better off investing in nutrition before they worry about having the latest and greatest tech.

At Gainesville, we do both. • Breakfast before OTA's • PB&J×2 after OTA's • Protein shake after workout • Lunch after meetings • @perchFit VBT cameras • @catapultsports Vector GPS • @Plyomat 3.0 • @OVRPerformance Sprint • @OVRPerformance Jump @Performance_GHS 🔴🐘🏈📈

Schools will spend millions of dollars on weight rooms, turf fields, and state-of-the-art facilities, yet many teachers, coaches, and athletic trainers remain underpaid, and nutrition education is often treated as an afterthought. “We want our student-athletes to excel in the classroom and in competition.” If that’s truly the goal, then invest in the people who are shaping them every day. Invest in: • Teachers who educate them • Coaches with proper experience and training who will safely coach them • Athletic trainers who keep them healthy • Nutrition professionals who help them grow, recover, and perform at their best Proper nutrition is not a luxury. It is foundational to growth, development, recovery, injury prevention, immune function, and academic and athletic performance. “We’ve always done it this way.” Maybe so. But if there is a better way one that improves student-athlete health, performance, and long-term well-being why wouldn’t we embrace it? If you care about your student-athletes, you should care for the professionals who care for them. 🤷♀️

@les7spellman @AltamontXCTF I’d be interested to see the difference in the same activities performed with the same W:R in practice vs games just to see the effect of psychological stress. Same way pitchers average 160+ BPM for the inning despite how much time is spent “recovering”
