Linux. I was a Sys Engineer for a long time, mostly Windows, both desktop and server. Starting with Windows 10 it became bloated with spyware built into the OS. So unless you want to do a ton of reg hacks and the possibility of breaking your Windows machine to rid it of spyware, go Linux. Good luck 👍🏼

Europe is not under any threat from anyone. Russia cannot even handle Ukraine. There is zero prospect of Russia attacking anywhere else in Europe.
Our military bases in Europe are an artifact of the aftermath of WW2 and during the Cold War. NATO is obsolete.
