Being mocked (justly) by my friends and family for the side eye, the buttoned up frock coat, the hair flop and just about everything else. But the good news is, churchgoing is up (at least at St Giles in the Fields, and many other places). Just rejoice at that news!

What people have not figured out is that if you want a kitchen porter to be paid £45k you need people on average to be earning x4 that so they can consume the service. The problem now is that the UK is a low-pay economy and the state is pushing up the bottom end, but the top end will not consume it because they don’t have the disposable income. Vicious cycle.

An exciting change coming up for us as a family. We will be moving to Orkney next year. I’m going to be the new pastor at Kirkwall Baptist Church. We will be sad to leave Stonehaven and the Church here but very excited for the future. Prayers appreciated!

I see quite a few churches (particularly Anglican) do a mid-week (normally shorter) eucharist service.
I'd love to think through what it would look like to do something similar in my church, but unsure if there's anything in the non-conformist traditions that would be similar?

@_jacobwtaylor_ I never know precisely what ‘communion’ really means in this context, but the AMiE bishops and the FCE bishops meet together regularly in the Gafcon Europe Bishops Forum, along with others. I’m working for us to do more together. The overlapping jurisdictions complicates matters.
