it's ~trans day of visibility~, so i'd like to use my platform (such as it is) to add visibility to a gender-critical trans person, namely @heterodorx's corinna cohn. heterodox thinkers like corinna help to remind us that there's a difference between being trans, and subscribing to trans activist ideology. it's the same difference as between women and marxist feminists, or between gay people and those who are social constructionists about sexual orientation. corinna was an early dissenter, interviewed in 2015 for slate. links below to that interview and a recent discussion that she & i had. happy trans day of visibility to all the trans people who know that trans rights don't have to come at the cost of women's rights. 🎉
