@MiguelDelaney It’s true, you wouldn’t have even known it was here if you hadn’t searched it out.

Our taxi driver wearing an Australia shirt the day after. “I didn’t even know we were hosting it until a few days before, it was so badly advertised - now I’m all over it.” QF against France had biggest TV broadcast of anything in over 20 years”

@sportingintel First time I’ve properly watched the women’s game (as I have the $15 app anyway) but it absolutely should be available to all. It’s been a great watch and the more that see it the better.

Chatting to my cousin before extra time. She lives in Cairns and wanted to watch with her kids. But the game wasn't on free-to-air TV there. Absolutely ludicrous that FIFA didn't ensure all games at a World Cup are on FTA TV in the host nation. A dereliction.

Blimey the tension of that match. Nigeria were brilliant. England toughed it out.

@IanWright0 She’s been very wasteful. But I’ve not been convinced by USA in general tbh.

Manager has put a lot of faith in Alex Morgan. Hopefully she delivers something and the experience comes through at this stage of the game / tournament. She's been fortunate to start every game. #USA

Dad sees a car in a restaurant parking lot that looks like his old one, which he had to sell to support the family. He gets emotional, sharing stories, and then the daughter surprises him by handing him the keys. ❤️🚗

@CantPostIt @JordanA8156 @seehearspeaknow @JohnCleese What we’ve demonstrated here is that you only think you know what you’re talking about. These random titbits of information you’ve picked up here and there have you made you feel like an expert but … you clearly are not. Stop pretending, it’s embarrassing. #dunningkruger

@_john_russell @JordanA8156 @seehearspeaknow @JohnCleese Covid patients haven’t been put on ventilators in a while and they certainly didn’t save lives. I think I’ve provided enough proof of my claims, provide a positive outcome with vents study or a reason why other countries didn’t use vents and had better outcomes.

@CantPostIt @JordanA8156 @seehearspeaknow @JohnCleese Nothing in here is telling me people weren’t suffering respiratory failure when placed on a ventilator. (I’m still searching for your fair test source) What it does say is COVID causes people to require ventilation much longer than regular patients.

@CantPostIt @JordanA8156 @seehearspeaknow @JohnCleese Whilst waiting for your response I found the FT’s data science team have also validated the initial findings that right leaning attitudes to COVID led to more deaths.

A tragic story in two charts: 1) It never used to be the case, but there is now a big partisan gap for trust in science in the US. Republicans are now essentially the anti-science party, while Dems are stridently pro
