@thosethatcan Definitely. Our puppy has the look on his face that says ‘I’m going to be an utter pest for at least 12 years’. I’m overjoyed 🙄🤣

@AdamsGeog Exactly! I had one year when it was warmer there than here. On Thursday (we left in the early hours of the morning) there was a yellow warning for gales! So varied.

@_jopayne Weather that at this time of year is so varied - frozen waterfalls my first year and short sleeves two years later. Everything in between since - some snow last year

Well, with Reykjavík experiencing its heaviest October snowfall since 1921, our Iceland trip didn’t go quite as planned! The pupils loved playing in the snow, though. It’s a story they’ll tell for many years to come.

When precision in core knowledge allows for precision in vocab like never before🤝The list of the top 20 keywords needed to secure knowledge of our Y7 curriculum has been further mapped: When is this word taught? When it is revisited & applied? Have loved doing this thinking!

@lcgeography @kate_stockings @GeographyTom9 I agree. I pop onto X every now and then. I feel a bit lost, to be honest. I used to enjoy interacting with the geography teaching community. I haven’t really felt part of a professional network for a while. I might give LinkedIn a go.

@kate_stockings @GeographyTom9 @_jopayne I'm genuinely sad those days are gone. I'm operating mostly on LinkedIn these days, and it's beginning to develop okay for me. But it's not a patch on edutwitter of old. Between lots having left & me not seeing others' posts, X is nothing like the old days.

Do you remember the good old days where we could see each others tweets & Twitter was a goldmine?! Grateful for Advanced Search helping me delve into the archive & find the best bits for GAC. Blog from @GeographyTom9, video from @lcgeography & diagrams from @_jopayne + others💚

For those of you who’ve been asking about what is in ‘What is geography teaching, now?’ - here’s a sneaky peek at the contents pages. Thank you to all who have contributed. ❤️ @Jennnnnn_x

@primaryteachew Ah, I see you go with the whole page. I should just come to terms with one being a bit wider 💪

@primaryteachew I do this too. Harder on the other side. Saying “fold it to where you can see the margin of the previous page through this side” is like a whole other language! 😆

✨ Teacher Hack ✨ Instead of printing tables with two columns or asking children to draw them out - just fold the page in half and write the headings at the top! No wasted space (or time!) and it looks so much nicer, too!

@emhoneyreads Looks like the one in Exeter St David’s station ❤️ I love my books to be perfect, so the risk of a bent cover from the fall is high. I realise that’s not an issue for 99% of other readers 😂
