@badlogicgames Plz plz build your own and share it with the world 🙏🏼 I still can't believe they abandoned voice mode, which has such a natural use case (see success of speech to text wisprflow et al. on computer), but went on a binge of other side quests (like p*rn).

and however they manage context, it's really bad. it almost feels like individual turns are disconnected from each other.

@florianederer Ah yes the Magistratsbeamter. That lives in a beautiful central 200sqm Altbau paying 200€ (1€ per sqm) rent because his contract is from the 70s.

@_karimelk Yes, but I think university professor would not be sufficiently troll. It would have to be a Magistratsbeamter with a very generous Beamtenpension.

This parody account is just 2 weeks old, but it has 13k followers and millions of views posting hilarious engagement ragebait about France's massive divide between affluent retirees and younger generations. France is an extreme case, but I wonder when it will spread elsewhere.

Notre petite maison sur le Bassin d'Arcachon. Achetée en 1982 pour environ 125 000€. Bernard avait fait des heures sup à La Poste tout l'été pour compléter l'apport. On était si jeunes. L'agent nous dit qu'elle vaut 3,9M€ aujourd'hui, mais pour nous c'est juste notre chez-nous. 🇫🇷🌅

I've always been jealous of people who journal. From the outside it always seemed like a habit with many great benefits. Calming, learning, documenting. But I never got into it. Because writing is neither my most natural and nor my favorite medium. Yesterday I realized, I don't need to write. I can just talk into the machine each day, and have an LLM make me a custom diary. It can make sense of my unstructured thoughts and speech better than I can. It can write more elegant prose than I do. It can retrieve thoughts and connect dots. I'll experiment with this soon.

Slack has very different dynamics now that I can have Codex deep-search it for every kind of information I need. Feels much more like a knowledge database. Turns out someone posting something in a random channel is sufficient documentation now.

@jdrhyne Great thread Jonathan, couldn't agree more. What's your opinion on domain expertise vs generalists? As you said for a long time the winning play was to be T shaped. Seems like now everyone can be... caterpillar shaped?

The next major discipline isn't prompting. It's cognitive load design. And management is inverting: every manager now needs to be a capable IC with agents. Every IC now manages a fleet of agents whether they want to or not. The skill that rises isn't persuasion. It's operational design.

I have ADHD and have always been good at context switching. Even I'm hitting my cognitive limits working with AI agents. It's not a personal problem though. It's a signal about where knowledge work is heading.

In Miami for the first time. And I can't stop thinking about how @antoniogm once wrote that in a sense, Miami is the Dubai of Latin/South America.

I personally know the following example: Turkish Dad (doesn't speak Greek) Greek Mom (doesn't speak Turkish) Parent language: English They speak their own language to each child. Kids understand English because that's what the parents speak. At school the kids speak German. That's 4 languages actively used everyday. So far it's going great for the kids!

We know that children can grow up bilingual. But do we know if/where that maxes out?

The “forbidden experiment” — raising a child with no language exposure — is forbidden for very good reasons. But has anyone studied the opposite, what happens to children in extreme polyglot households? Like where they’re hearing 8 languages with equal regularity from birth?

@Bouazizalex Alex, @DanWestgarth, I ran a similar effort at my current employer, called it nAIvy seals. There's just nothing like being a commando that dives into a business area, quickly identifies low hanging fruits in the bottlenecks and fixes them using AI/Automation.

We're hiring: Ghostbuster position open. Join Deel's version of DOGE, our strongest operational team. $200k+/year - remote. Over 7 years, Deel scaled to 7,000+ people across 100+ countries. Every company this size accumulates ghosts: - A process installed by someone who left 2 years ago - A tool slowing everyone down that nobody wants to call out - A decision from 2022 that no one revisited Ghostbusters find broken things and fix them. Own the outcome end to end. You'll partner directly with our COO & myself on the highest-priority operational and strategic initiatives at the company. No busywork. No micromanagement. Just the objective. What it takes: - Builder mentality. You'll get resources, but you'd crush it without them - First-principles thinker. You walk into any department and ask, "Why does this even exist?" - Financially sharp. Business-minded. Operationally elite - AI-native. You help every team rethink how they work, every single week - Self-directed. We give you the mission, not the playbook This is the strongest operational team at Deel. Every person on it is a force. If that's you: jobs.ashbyhq.com/deel/b168b5dd-…
