Here I am working in the NHS.
I came to this country as a child refugee.
I have only ever had a British passport & only ever considered myself a British citizen.
The #NationalityandBordersBill means that my citizenship could be revoked without right of appeal.

The Health & Care Bill is back in the Commons tmrw.
It divides the NHS into 42 areas led by Integrated Care Boards which - incredibly - private companies will be allowed to sit on.
I believe private companies should *never* get a say in how the NHS is run.

Can NHS folk in hospitals please STOP referring to people for whom they care as a bed number?
As in‘bed7 awaiting a care home’ or ‘bed3 needs CT head’
It’s
A) Clinical risk inducing [people move beds]
B) Depersonalising: they have names
B) Dehumanising:they’re not objects

Lots of people replying saying “what about Harold Shipman? Should we have stopped trusting doctors?” Well, the Shipman cases led to an overhaul of the entire medical profession. It completely changed practice in many ways. This is what should happen to the Met.
