"We made a tool open source and our competitor forked it to make changes that we consider "unnecessary" and now we are mad"
It doesn't matter, you made it open source they are free to fork it whether the changes they make seem unnecessary or not.

Finally hooked up my 49” ultrawide. Couldn’t find good window management so I wrote one that auto tiles the windows and then based on usage can make those windows larger over time. Will help with managing agents and terminals as the areas I’ll turn my attention towards can automatically take up more real estate

@ryanflorence I can’t remember how many times I’ve heard people referring as Next vs React when they are referring to react router

Micro service -> event bridge -> lambda -> other micro service via rest
Ao invés de:
Microservice -> topic -> outros micro serviços

@mattpocockuk Not sure if this is common knowledge about Vite, but 5173 is supposed to "spell" VITE. The roman numeral V is 5
English

@erikras @mattpocockuk @kentcdodds Always string unions, the only scenario that was valid for enums are when the user of the api does not have typescript support so the user can explicitly use the enums exported but now vscode and modern ides have better intelisense to handle ts types even on js codebases
English

Okay, TypeScript nerds. Give me your best steelman argument in favor of using enums over string unions. When are they superior?
I feel like @mattpocockuk or @kentcdodds should have a blog post about this.

💥 WORLDS 2024 ✨
[en]
Very happy to show you the biggest and most challenging project I've ever done, the Worlds 2024 opening ceremony. I was able to participate entirely in the Countdown Prologue and also in Act 1 - Paint The Town Blue, a lot of graffiti/scribbles on my head. ✍️
Since July I have joined the incredible and talented DE-YAN team and I couldn't be happier to be part of them. Very proud of everyone and all their dedication to this work. Thank you for believing in me in this project and for the experience you provided. 🫶 💖

@ScriptedAlchemy @codemaluco You could send specific events without the whole gtm then after the load start gtm
English

@codemaluco Huh. How'd you get biz and marketing to OK that.

If your company uses a tag manager, you probably don’t need to waste any time thinking about performance. Maybe lazy load the images; the rest won’t matter once 3rd party is added.

@rauchg Prev company. We were looking at how to optimize the site further. Turned out that at best, the main app only accounted for 30% of the site total perf. Most of it was third parties and tag manager. Shipping a blank page only marginally improved lighthouse scores.
