Part of being a journalist is having access to databases that can help you find anything — including a letter to the editor you apparently wrote at age 7. My mom claims I asked her how to "theoretically" write @wausauherald and next thing she knew, this had been published.

“It’s the closest you can get to being on the ocean in the Midwest." The Lake of the Ozarks is one of the most unusual places, in Missouri or really anywhere. @KCUR's podcast A People's History of Kansas City dives deep into its controversial creation. kcur.org/history/2023-0…

Investigative Reporters & Editors@IRE_NICAR

The Audio (Small) Award goes to @kcur and @NPRMidwestNews for "Overlooked," an investigative podcast about how systemic problems long left unaddressed in the Midwest allowed a white male police officer to exploit Black women for decades. #IREAwards

@_macmartin @wausauherald On the other hand, being from the deep South, if Halloween fell on Sunday, it was moved to Saturday.

@_macmartin @wausauherald This makes my day. I also hear your voice when I read it. I am sure your second grade read aloud voice sounds just like your radio voice today!

If I'm honest, I still feel this way. And I would love an update on the current state of trick-or-treating in Wausau, Mayor @katierosenberg. I await your response.

I spent my hour long commute to and from high school listening to @ThisAmerLife. It's how I fell in love with journalism. Fast forward to now. Hearing my reporting and Renee's story on the show was...simply surreal. Listen here:thisamericanlife.org/789/the-runaro…
