@antigravity I've looked at the profiles that you're following that are creating and "improving" antigravity, like @_matthewli is anyone actually working on it? most of them haven't posted in weeks and the product itself has gone backwards. Eveey other IDE and members of the team are constantly responding to people's issues in the comments and fixing them. I see comments on here and reddit about consistent errors such as "agent terminated due to error" I'm literally getting this every other prompt and I see others are too regardless of fresh context Window or any other setting changes.

All said, ephemeral messages have helped us bridge the gap between model limitations and desired behaviors. Most reminders needed for Gemini 2.5 were removed for Gemini 3. Our goal today is to keep finding the capabilities that are just barely possible on the strongest models.

There are some downsides, like slight cache misses or thinking trace disruption. But more fundamentally, over-reliance can mask poor tool design, and too large a reminder can distract the agent. Ephemeral messages should typically only be used when it can’t be done otherwise.

I’ve joined Cognition to continue to work on the future of software engineering. I was employee #2 at Windsurf and have worked on AI+code for years. There’s never been a more exciting time and place for it than now at Cognition. I had a place at Google DeepMind as part of the deal. I won’t go into detail for legal reasons, but I’d like to be transparent about my personal situation. I was given an offer that would explode same day. I had to forfeit all of my vested shares earned over my 3.5+ years at Windsurf. I was ultimately given a payout of only 1% of what my shares would have been worth at the time of the deal. In going to Cognition, I’ve chosen a different direction. For someone who loves software engineering, Cognition feels like home. It reminds me of the energy of the earliest days of Windsurf, where we wrote excessive amounts of code and had excessive amounts of fun. Really excited to see how we can take the best of Devin and Windsurf to make the world’s best IDE and coding agents.

What’s wrong with Gemini 2.5 pro on Windsurf ??? Not a single thing was done. Claude isn’t as smart as Gemini but it definitely works better for Agentic purposes and completing tasks
