😂 I just gave the last 2 days of work-summary I did with Codex to Opus for a second-opinion assessment. Opus actually said it was much better what Opus itself generated. So I guess I'm the stupid one here 🙃 I'm going to see if I can build a two agent setup that builds > hands over > second opinion > give back / improve. Not sure how that works in full autonomous mode tho

@daytradingzoo Interesting. I had the exact opposite experience when I tried Opus. Do you have any skills or instructions in claude that weren't being used by gpt?

@Valckrie Small cap fintwit has declared small-cap shorting already dead. So probably nothing.

Will be interesting to see what it means for small cap trading after the book release.

@daytradingzoo @JoachimMo1985 That’s quite a long time. I’ve built my own backtester, but it does take time away from actually researching strategies. Improving the backtester itself can sometimes turn into a form of procrastination. So are most of your current strategies being backtested in RealTester?

Python -> I just lost money. RealTest -> see my PnL curve. Choose your fighter wisely! 😜 PS: Python sucks when it comes to speed in huge universes I am playing with.

Agree. I rather spend time developing strategies than developing a backtesting tool. If RealTest offers 99% of what I need to do to develop a portfolio of strategies plus all the features that come with it, why on earth would i want to re-invent the wheel? For that extra 1% that I don't need anyway? Or just to prove how good a coder I am. RealTest for daily strategies. Python for intraday. And maybe even that will be over soon when RealTest will offer intraday data.

@kelanfar Seems like you don't fully understand the choice that MrBeast laid out. There is no benefit for you or the group to choose Blue.

@daytradingzoo @Samundana I only used cursor for editing front end for my apps in browser mode. The recent codex update which included the in-app browser made my use or cursor redundant.

@daytradingzoo @Samundana Cursor is just a money hog at this point. Since all AI's are pivoting into agent mode and nobody really looks at code anymore, their business model has been crushed by Claude Code and the Codex app. Plus Anthropic and OpenAI, will subsidize the tokens you use on their platforms.

I built two pretty sick apps with Claude Code Max. Super happy with the result. The process was smooth. Only hit the time limit a few times. Probably would have never been able to build the same tools with Cursor because for whatever reason, I always run out of API tokens with Cursor. Never have this issue with Claude Code. I will try to build my next tool with GPT Codex app and see how I like that.

$NDX 0-DTE credit spread: $0.50 credit on a 24850/24800 put credit spread. With about 1.5 hours left in the trading day I show >99.5% chance of profit.

@JeffryTurnmire So this big loss in your kinfo wasn't from an NDX credit spread since you haven't lost #120 in a row? Mind sharing which trade/strategy resulted in this big loss?

Did you know, 1% a day stacks to over 1000% a year with 250 trading days. (in round numbers, give or take) Another day where my $NDX 0-DTE credit spreads expired off at the close and I kept the credits. 🍻 (#120 in a row)

It took 6 Fucking Years to make my first 6 fucking figures Zooming in it actually took 2 years with 80% of that coming in the last 7 months. I started in the markets 2020 during COVID like everyone else. I was in high school at the time covid happened and well I decided to start trading, opened broker account April 2020. 2020-2022 was nothing but errors. Just typical retail trading. Trading to trade, didnt learn, didnt know anything, no playbook, just would trade what I wanted and yea. I look back and cringe at ALL my trading stuff. I remember my "hard work" would be me going back to 2020 onDemand and saying if I invested 1k of SPY here I wouldve made 10k the next day 😂 How amateur of me to not change but at the same time I was around the wrong people and we fell into the ig furu trap and didnt have the right mentors. I made consistent money in 2022 from May- September (20k) quit my job, and in November 2022 I blew up like 6k of that in 1 day. Took about 1 month off, came back, made most of it back in 2 months, then again in April of 2023 blew it back all, I decided to get a job since not working was hurting my pockets, got a job, came back July 2023 after saving 10k. THEN I blew it ALL up August 2023. After this I quit. I was done with trading, I went back to college and was figuring out what I wanted to do. I was looking to getting my CDL, or getting into a trade school, but settled for a CC for the time being given it was free and registration date was ending in 2 days lol, also made me feel like I wasnt wasting time lol. Then I ended up in a finance class and it talked about trading and it genuinely sparked my interest again and knew I needed to give it another shot. My prior "pod" all blew up and I decided to come back alone and do it right this time. I needed to study people who were actually profitable and no more of that quick dopamine, lambo/ get rich quick guru's. This was when @TheOneLanceB started to really post consistently and I studied all his stuff at the time. and when I came back in January 2024 I applied a lot of his advice: Weekly Reviews of top plays Saving Books of Charts Reverse Engineering and doing Write ups DRC's Saving & studying tape etc. My sole goal of 2024 wasnt to make money, It was to genuinely learn the right way and get better at this game. So, I traded small size was just using 5-10 shares at the time. Focused on the Process. Then June 5, 2024 NVDA was setting up a FRD setup the next day and I studied for that trade A LOT, the next day June 6, the setup setup just as I saw in my write ups/ book of charts. I hit it and made my first 1k trade that day and that day single handedly sparked a spark in me I cannot describe. Its like this was possible and I can do it. Since then been just doing the same work, refining it a lot but simply trying to get better. FF a bit, in 2025 I realized I been consistent a bit, I spotted that April tariff turn, made 5k off that and realized I have edge in a certain playbook but would lose a lot in other stuff, kept trading small and it was until my buddy @Deconsecrated2 engrained mastering the playbook I make money in and scale it. So I did and since September 2025 been avging 5 fig months now just trading the playbook I have edge in. A fuck load of work to do and Im nowhere near my potential but im super super proud I hit this mark given 3 years ago I quit. This shit is way harder than it seems. The amount of work it requires is insane.

@SmallCapSmarts @gnezdilov He made close to a million running the scam. Right after launching the program, he realized massive losses that wiped him back to square one. Within days, he hid his profile while still posting screenshots of his “remarkable consistency.”

@SmallCapSmarts @gnezdilov Absolutely. This tactic has been around for years. This was one of the few scams that actually got me. His Kinfo stats looked solid for 6+ months, and he sounded genuinely well-informed, so I trusted kinfo and bought his “program.”

All top 7 Kinfo accounts this year are options traders. But sure, small caps are fine and there’s no edge erosion.

@daytradingzoo @LionTurtle3 Watched you grind small caps for 5 years with nit much to show for it. Then you leave and instantly go parabolic. Definitely giving me some FOMO to start exploring other markets too. Glad to see all the work finally paying off.

Pretty weird seeing course sellers bragging about 1/3 of what you make and showing off Lambos, first class travel and gold watches worth 100s. While you’re wiring the IRS nonstop and very far from feeling rich.

@daytradingzoo @cursor_ai If you're using complex agents.md or other similar rules, delete them or greatly simplify them. (arxiv.org/pdf/2602.11988…) For planning use opus, use auto for code generation, then use 5.3-codex-high for validation. But this all can change so fast.

Yep. My @cursor_ai Ultimate Plan lasted exactly 10 days. I ran out of tokens whilst building something truly amazing 🥲 Dare I switch to On-Demand fees? I'm not sure if I can control myself 🤣
