the problem with the big+fast archetype is that you generally have to pay a premium for them and many of them either are pretty bad or not meaningfully better than your average 12/13 forward

They won with Eichel at 10
Florida won with Bob at 10.5 2 years in a row. Goalie cap was fine then

@jmarshfof I think if he is truly 17 it’s a good experiment for a guy who will likely top out as a 2C and be a valuable middle 6 guy. Strong core for his age against bigger guys. I like him off the corner of the wall too.

Some fans are crazy. Trocheck trade is supposed to accelerate this rebuild. Older, worse players are getting bigger deals. Drury will be able to nail this, like you said they don’t need to trade him

@NHLRumourReport His contract is very manageable and he doesn't need to be moved. Great on faceoffs, PK, etc. Why would they take less? I have no issue with him being the 2C moving forward.
