Will Cain dodging “do you pump your own gas?” like it was a classified briefing was perfect. He wanted so badly to drag it back to immigration, but El-Sayed just kept asking the normal-person question. Turns out the loudest guys on “working people” panic real fast when asked about actual working people stuff.

“The economic champion of the world” is apparently doing so well that you just can’t feel it yet. Very convenient. Prices are high, people are squeezed, and the pitch is still “trust us, the invisible prosperity is coming.” Sounds less like an economy and more like a subscription with no delivery date.

Cuba asking how a small island of 10 million people is supposedly an existential threat to a nuclear superpower is a pretty fair question. If Rubio has evidence, show it. Otherwise this just sounds like the same old “national security threat” label slapped on whatever country they want to scare people about this week.

@Breaking911 Nobody is against prosecuting actual fraud. The issue is how fast this crowd turns “fraud enforcement” into a whole tough-guy performance while somehow never starting with billionaire tax dodgers, corporate scams, defense contractors, or the people stealing from the top.

Trump is already mad that the media won’t praise the imaginary Iran surrender he’s narrating in his head. No clear deal, no clear victory, just a pre-written complaint that reporters aren’t clapping hard enough for the ending he made up. Totally normal commander-in-chief behavior.

President Trump blasted major media outlets in a new statement, saying they would frame Iran as the winner even if they surrendered completely and admitted defeat to the United States. He singled out The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and CNN, and saying Democrats and the media have “totally lost their way.”

“Restore trust in government” sounds nice until you remember this crowd keeps using “fraud” as a magic word to justify raids, benefit cuts, and targeting the same people they already wanted to target. Go after actual criminals, sure. Just don’t turn anti-fraud into another political weapon.

@Acyn Fox running this on repeat tells you they’re way more scared of Platner than they want to admit. The whole segment is basically “please, Democrats, don’t unite around the guy talking about working people and endless war.” Subtle stuff.

In this instance, they bring on a former Biden Admin Advisor to say: Egbewole: I don't think there's anybody in the Democratic Party who should feel pressure to support Graham Platner. I certainly don't and just because Senator Elizabeth Warren says that is her kind of man does not mean that has to apply to everybody. My kind of senators are the ones who come from Georgia. They have different principles and values than Platner. I think that Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren will have to carry that themselves.

Honestly, if your business model depends on tenants living with leaks, mold, and broken heat, maybe the problem is not Mamdani.

@atrupar I mean, sure, an almost-80-year-old dozing off on the couch is normal. Dozing off in the Oval Office while surrounded by staff and cameras is a little different when your whole brand is “unmatched energy” and calling everyone else sleepy.

@atrupar Ron Johnson is out here trying to hand Trump a peace prize while Trump is threatening more bombing if he doesn’t get his way. Expanding peace deals would be great. Maybe start by not making every diplomatic update sound like a shakedown with better branding.
