@VicVijayakumar What a hero. Why didn't I think of this? You could create a change approval board over which you could preside.

Never ever let a good crisis go to waste. I join every sev call to ask “would mandatory stage baking have caught this?” / “would synthetic tests have caught this?” / “why did you clickops that resource?” Always pushing an agenda, forcing teams to add my pet projects of RELIABILITY AND FEWER INCIDENTS to their P0 workstream.

Feels more like an example of an idea than a product per-se. But working with it has helped me to think more clearly about what the salient problems are when you're building an agent. It's like create-react-app. Lotta crap getting churned out, but also a lot of learning happening

@VicVijayakumar @staysaasy That's also how you grow people around you. Give away something that someone else can land a big visible W on.

@staysaasy I am currently going through this. I have a large volume of responsibilities which is causing me to do ALL of them at a B+ level. Really the only fix is to give away some tasks.

One of most common mistakes high performers make is thinking that the volume of work they do justifies doing a bad job on a given task. “I do a thousand things why are you complaining about this one thing.” But that’s not how it works. If you take on a task, you need to do it right. People don’t have context about everything else you do. And they shouldn’t have to. The answer is obvious - the high performer should take less on. But you’d be shocked at how many people live their whole careers doing tons of stuff but continually causing friction and pain because they take on too much and have a bad attitude about it.

@VicVijayakumar I took my 11-year-old to a bike shop last summer. I had her measured and tried out a simple mountain bike. Well it turns out it was $1,900. Asked the guy if he had anything for around $400 and he got very annoyed with me. Got her a bike at Walmart for $175 it's fine.

was just at the LBS and they had this bike on display with a titanium frame + bluetooth gear shift, and I test drove it in their parking lot which was a huge mistake because then I found out it’s $8000 been blissfully unaware of current prices riding my pre covid bike

Everything in column 1 is extremely expensive even used. After looking into both the Palisade & Telluride they seem to have a lot of engine issues due to burning too much oil and are okay if you buy them new because everything’s under warranty. Basically screwed if you get them used. I am not a mechanic but it seems they are not highly recommended by mechanics. Do with that information what you will, that’s just what I’ve heard.

I’m trying my hardest to find an SUV that’s suitable for three to four car seats that isn’t either 1) Giant Expedition / Yukon / Tahoe / Sequoia 2) A complete piece of crap (bye bye Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade) 3) Has a cramped third row (bye bye Mazda / Volvo / Honda Pilot) 4) VW Atlas & Acadia only have 6 seats. There is none, besides maybe the Highlander. Lol, the minivan is seriously the best option if you are going to have 3 young children at least in car seats
