@TNCarly_ Reading books, playing video games, building Lego, it gives you that escape, it makes life bearable. Besides who says you can’t play video games as an adult? There’s no rule around it. It’s been studied to be beneficial for cognitive health as you age.

Like if you strip away whimsy and enjoyment, objectively being an adult is so bleak. Bills, work, crippling existential crisis and unrealistic expectations.

The narrative that gaming as a hobby is inherently unattractive has never made sense to me.
Plenty of people spend more time online, watching TV or reading than others do playing video games. It's really not that different.
I'd much rather be with someone who's genuinely passionate about what they enjoy - whether that's gaming or otherwise - than someone who is judgmental and shallow.
People are so much more than their hobbies, and worthy of someone's love whether you 'approve' of that or not.

So please tell me through all of that how lifting some weights would have been healthier and better? So if that person wants to do 39 minutes on a treadmill then fucking let them.

First I did my weapons grading with sparring, then I did my brown belt grading with all my kihon and kata, sparring with the lower belts and then my brown belt sparring. Oh and I did this all with autonomic dysregulation because I got COVID 2 months back.

People saying cardio is dumb are dumb “oh look at me I can bench this and lift that.” Yeah but can you run uninterrupted for an extended period of time? What’s your stamina and endurance like? I’d rather cardio over lifting weights. Cardiovascular health is important.

He’s not wrong. Streamers have been a blight on gaming. Also it’s one of those things I’ve never understood, why watch someone else play a game when you can play it yourself?

I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games. Some women might be understanding or pretend like they don’t care that you spend hours playing, but they do. It is extremely unattractive to women and will never not be. 🤷🏼♀️

As an american i still never understand why ppl here 1. Have to call it military time (instead of 24h) and 2. Think 24h is a difficult concept for some reason😭
