I find it almost impossible to use Apple Mail nowadays. Its search feature barely even works. I cannot find anything. Gmails works flawlessly. Anyone else having the same issue?

@disarto_max I’d prefer the right but feel rounding the edges would remove the harshness of the sharp edges and better match the softness of the rest of the UI.

Which style would you prefer? Left or right?

@raphaelschaad Instead of posting this try, settings - safari - turn on “bottom” to get safari to act the same way as iOS 18. Sometimes it’s nice to play around with a device’s setting to when something about its UX bothers you.

Safari now forcing me to do three taps to close one tab surprisingly is one of my biggest UX annoyances of iOS 26. iOS 18 vs. 26:

@markgurman Mark, Apple simply doesn’t want to build a Siri app and they don’t have to because you interact with Siri from anywhere. They don’t have to limit it to a separate app.

To be clear, Apple has said that people like chatbots and obviously support them pretty heavily on iOS - but the decision (which they’ve also been open about) to not build one, at least for now, speaks volumes.

I ran away from home when I was 15. Moved in with my high school girlfriend. She had one of these. I built my entire career with this thing and a pirated copy of Photoshop, working til wee hours on digital art with no clear idea as to why. Just because I felt compelled to create stuff. I customized it to make it look and feel like a Mac. I started making little icons and bits of UI in Photoshop. Four years later and after having gotten my first MacBook I got an email from Apple asking if I wanted to interview to join the design team to work on a new thing they just released called the iPhone. Forever grateful for this silly plastic machine.

@JPEGuin Oh man, that sucks but absolutely get it. I’m just really happy to hear news about Bulletin. It’s one of my favorite apps but lately’s been buggy and I wondered about its future. Thanks for sharing.

Always wanted to make a movie/tv show tracking app. I love movies, watching them, logging them, consuming them, everything to do with them. Letterboxd's app is horrible, and doesn't quite cut it. So I guess it's time to get started making my own.
