@RobShaw_BC You’re not wrong. But of course the issue is that it appears these MLAs do not support the human rights code—extremely worrying. All thy have to do is publicly stated, one way or the other. I think that would assuage many of our worries.

When parties vote down 1st reading, it robs #bcleg of its core function, which is any elected MLA should be able to put any bill on the floor of the house for public to see + judge. If bill is repugnant - judge the MLA. But this system of blocking 1st reading is undemocratic.

What an absolute, total and utter waste of time this 1st reading nonsense continues to be for #bcleg BC should follow House of Commons + UK and let MLAs put any bill through 1st reading so public can read it and hold that MLA accountable. Instead, parties play wedge politics.

@RobShaw_BC Hi @RobShaw_BC , fair enough, but then why did they vote for other bills to not be read? In any case, the issue is support for the human rights code—do they support it or not? I hope you encourage these MLAs to make public statement about their support (or not) so we know.

@acnewsitics So the product is bought and paid for. It’s on the shelf. People are ready to buy it. And to think that you could actually use that money to offset the losses with the tariffs.
