My story I came to the UK in 2016. Didn't speak the language properly. Worked normal jobs. Made plenty of mistakes with money. 9 years later: • Bought a house • Built £75k+ in assets • Still learning every day If you're starting from zero, no one is coming to save you. You have to build it yourself.

I've been on x since 8 15 to 9 45 every morning for months replying to people etc without missing a day. Today i really didn't want to but this is a reminder to myself to make decisions based on logic not emotion Stop negotiating with yourself about something that must be done.

My son asked me the other day what Bitcoin is. I told him this: "Bitcoin is internet money that nobody can copy or take from you." How would you explain Bitcoin to an 11-year-old in one sentence? 👇

If I had £50k in cash and wanted to invest in crypto, here's what I would do. Bitcoin: £5k-£10k max (10-20%) Emergency fund: 6-12 months of expenses. For me, that's £2k × 6 = £12k minimum. Then split the rest between: Cash/stablecoins (for flexibility) Some diversification (ETFs, nothing crazy) I'd never invest money I might need in the next 3-5 years. I get that people want to get rich fast. But if losing half your savings would keep you up at night… probably your investment is too big. What's your plan with £50k right now?

@Davincij15 That's crazy how fast people go from "Bitcoin is the future" to panic mode again 🤣

Bitcoin at $70k and the panic posts are already flowing. I've watched this movie five times since 2011. I bought at $2 when $32 was 'the top.' Same feeling. Same noise. Spoiler: people who buy during panic usually thank themselves later.

@BitcoinRachy Good explanation. Inflation punishes people who think they're doing the right thing by keeping cash in the bank.

If someone asked me to explain Bitcoin in 60 seconds, here’s what I’d say: Imagine if you had a savings account that nobody could freeze, devalue, or take from you. No bank required. No government permission needed. You hold it, you own it, completely. That’s Bitcoin at its core. It’s not a stock. It’s not a gamble. It’s a new kind of money with a fixed supply, only 21 million will ever exist, in a world where your government can print more of theirs whenever they feel like it. You don’t have to go all in. You don’t have to understand everything. But you do have to understand that doing nothing is also a choice, and inflation is making that choice for you every single day.

If prices keep going up at the pace they have been for the last 30 years, by 2055: Avg house price: $1.6M Avg new car price: $128,000 Avg rent price: $6,500 per month Avg gas price: $16 per gallon Think about that…

@QuietWealth_UK @2147mill That's why owning a house was important to me after years of paying someone else's mortgage. The numbers are massive when you add it all up.

Rent will always be the highest amount you pay for living. A mortgage will always be the minimum you pay for living. Houses break.

@2147mill Owning a house definitely comes with surprise costs. But rent vs buying depends on a lot of things like area, interest rates, lifestyle etc. If I had the choice, I'd still choose buying.

For my wife and I, getting ahead financially wasn’t really about making one huge change. It was noticing the little things: Random purchases. Impulse buys. Subscriptions we forgot about. What’s one thing you’ve cut back on over the years?
