I don’t usually post on here, but I felt I should say something with everything going on. I’ve seen the resurfaced posts, and I want to be clear about where I stand. As a person, I find those tweets offensive and unacceptable. That’s not what I stand for, and it’s not what we at @Risevest stand for. We don’t tolerate tribalism or any form of bigotry. We’re a diverse team, with a strong number of Yoruba people across the company, and that matters. On a personal note, I’ve known and worked with Eke for almost a decade, and those tweets do not reflect our views, this includes the rest of the team that I’ve had the privilege to work with. The company has taken action, and there’s an internal review going on. This is being taken seriously.

Good morning everyone. Very late yesterday I was tagged in screenshots of some tweets made by a senior executive at @Risevest around 2013 and earlier that give us very serious concerns. To avoid a knee jerk response, I forward same to our leadership team immediately I received them and this morning we have initiated an internal review and have convened a meeting with our whole team to handle this with the seriousness it requires. To be clear, Risevest was started by myself, Bosun Olanrewaju and Tony as a company that is a home to everyone who wants to do great work, with respect and love for every group of people. While these comments are from years before we even conceived of the company, they are not casual and they are too serious to be dismissed as "shitposting". They most definitely do not reflect the values of our company and so far we have not seen any evidence that this reflects the character or actual actions of the executive in question. However, we want to assure everyone offended by it that we fully understand why anyone would be offended by such statements and have commenced an internal review of the executive's work and conduct to determine the right course of action. As many of you have witnessed over the years, when any matters like these are in concern, we handle it firmly, thoroughly and without favoritism no matter who is involved at any level. We thank everyone who has raised this concern and ask that we be given time to ensure this matter is handled well not only for the sake of those who have raised the issue but also for the sake of our team members, stakeholders and every other person who such comments have offended. Thank you Regards, Eke Eleanya Urum CEO, Risevest.

My friends, There comes a moment in every life when you must decide what truly matters. Not what is easy, not what is comfortable but what is right. To serve the people is not a part-time commitment. It is not a title, a badge, or a position you wear when it suits you. It is a calling that demands everything you have and everything you are willing to become. Because service means sacrifice It’s time.

I'm personally tired of these eye-service condolence messages. They happen every time after a huge loss has already been recorded. No plan, strategy, or clear action backs up all the “it’ll never happen again.” Just public condolences and damage control every time. It’s just not fair. People are dying unnecessarily. Why do campaigns and politics get more attention and action than actual governing? I don’t understand these things.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu@officialABAT

From the reports I have received, our armed forces have been conducting sustained, intense land and air offensives against the insurgents, neutralising many terrorist fighters and commanders. The insurgents’ counterattack is a sign of desperation.   I extend my condolences to the families of our gallant soldiers, led by  Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of our country in Borno State.   The government will never forget their sacrifices. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. Because of the courage and dedication of our troops on the frontline, our resolve to defeat terrorism and all forms of violence across Nigeria is stronger than ever.   I urge the Military High Command and our troops in all theatres of operation: Do not lose heart, do not be weary, do not be discouraged.   Our officers and men should continue to serve with honour, courage, and patriotism. The government will always stand by the Armed Forces, provide more of the equipment needed and ensure the welfare of all who risk their lives for our safety.   I urge Nigerians and the media to continue to support our Military in their relentless battle against insurgency and banditry. We should desist from celebrating or condoning the attacks against our troops. These soldiers are our heroes; unforgettable and irreplaceable.   My condolences also go to the government and people of Borno State. The Federal Government will continue to work with the state government to achieve total victory and lasting peace. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria
