@las_nish That's actually really interesting. Glad to hear we could help in some way, haha. In hindsight, we most definitely did things in the wrong order, focused a lot on building and not enough on selling the product. Curious, how did you find those 1,000 products to reach out to?

@_simonhansson For the first product I worked on, the reason I shipped it, and why it failed, was Celaro. I saw you guys shipping, marketing, and emailing. Otherwise I might have still been developing it in stealth mode. I was able to fail fast by studying you. Thanks for that.

Took a different direction with Celaro recently. Working with newsletters kept feeling way more fiddly than it should be. Clunky editors. Formatting breaks. Hard to stay consistent.

@_simonhansson That was a beautiful product. I didn't see any issues with it. I think you ran into a distribution problem. (same thing happened to my first prod) Yeah, I used it sometimes. We started a company, and Celaro is on our list. and I just saw this post today.

@las_nish Hey, we decided to move on from that project. After working on it for quite some time, we weren't really seeing the traction needed to keep investing in it. Did you use it? 🙂

So we started exploring something else. A code-first newsletter CMS, with a UI for content. You define structure and styling in code. Everything else happens in a simple admin interface.

People will choose Celaro if you release a video tutorial on its features and benefits, such as "How Celaro Makes Tasks Easy and Fast." This would greatly aid promotion, as users would see how easy it is to use and eventually switch to Celaro. This is a suggestion; you are not bound to do it.😄
