Mohammed Al-Mesfer, a political science professor at Qatar University, said he was surprised that Arab states did not condemn Israel’s strikes on Iran, stating that Israel initiated the aggression. Speaking to Al Jazeera Mubasher on Saturday, he highlighted the current threats Israel is posing to other Arab countries, including Lebanon and Syria, saying that Israel starts one war so that “we forget another” and that the U.S. does not stand with Gulf states but with Israel. He also called for supporting diplomatic efforts, such as the one currently played by Pakistan and several other countries, to end the war.

Israel has extended its invasion of Lebanon beyond the Litani River up to the El Zahrani river, expelling over a million people within this area. This comes as their forces are getting ambushed by Hezbollah semi-regularly on the ground. Killing medics and journalists from the air is safer and likely connected to the battlefield losses.
