🇫🇷🇩🇪 Une déclaration regrettable du délégué général à l'armement - l'armée française est bien en voie de déclassement face à l'Allemagne Dans un entretien à L'Express, le DGA explique que non, la France n'est pas en déclin relativement à l'Allemagne sur le plan "capacitaire", car elle est dotée de l'arme nucléaire. Une déclaration qui contraste avec celle du chef d'état-major en juin qui soulignait le retard massif qu'accumule l'armée française. Je suis en total désaccord avec le DGA. 1. L'arme nucléaire n'est pas du capacitaire et n'exempte pas d'une armée conventionnelle forte. Sans armée conventionnelle, il y a dans l'absolu un risque d'escalade bien plus immédiat. Et les défis pour notre sécurité collective à l'Est exigent une armée nombreuse et qualitative. Je dois avouer que je suis très surpris voire inquiet par l'explication du DGA selon laquelle grâce à l'arme nucléaire, la France ne peut être surclassée pat l'Allemagne. L'Allemagne peut très bien nous reléguer même sans arme nucléaire. 2. Quatrième budget militaire mondial, l'Allemagne surclasse largement la France. 107 milliards pour l'🇩🇪 contre 57 Md pour la🇫🇷. Et les ambitions ne sont pas les mêmes : d'ici 2030, les dépenses militaires de la France ne seront que de 2,5% du PIB, contre 3,5% pour l'Allemagne, qui aura accru ses dépenses de défense de 150% en 5 ans, un chiffre délirant. 3. La coopération franco-allemande est au point mort, à cause de Berlin. Alors que le DGA affirme que l'abandon du SCAF est dû aux industriels qui refusent de s'entendre et ne remet pas en cause la coopération 🇫🇷🇩🇪... La réalité est que c'est Berlin et Airbus Space&Défense Allemagne qui ont refusé que la maîtrise du chasseur revienne à Dassault. Même le chancelier s'est exprimé en justifiant son retrait par le fait qu'il n'a pas besoin d'un avion apte à transporter l'arme nucléaire. L'Allemagne n'en est pas à son coup d'essai : elle menace le projet européen de satellites basse orbite IRIS2 en investissant dans sa propre constellation, probablement car elle refuse que la Français EUTELSAT soit au cœur du projet de la Commission. En définitive, le DGA semble reprendre des EDL galvaudés : "tout va bien Madame la Marquise" alors que notre armée souffre d'une Allemagne qui fait bande à part.

@virtusnobilitas Context of the tweet was the ILA, how long should Airbus have waited? Till your tantrum was over? SCAF was a dead project for quite some time and Dassault ist not without blame in it. I'll give you, that it was not announced in a good manner. But you are really overreacting.

Dude forget that in a specific context, words matter. That “German A400M” video came literally one day after Airbus DS proudly announced a supposedly “European” consortium made up exclusively of 6 🇩🇪 companies to replace FCAS. Bonus: it wasn’t a Paki J-10 that shot down a Rafale. We don’t know what happened; Pakistani air defences saturating with PL15s are more as likely an explanation (eg RUSI report)

@JulienHoez I know English is hard, but this sentence does in no way claim that the A400m is an exclusively German designed plane. It says that the one flying above the ILA is German.
