this should be interesting. doing some of the vibeiest of vibe coding rn. Talked with Nova about my keyboard - a schmancy steelseries apex pro. It's got an OLED display. I got to asking about what we could do with it. wound up with a long context designing an ai enabled input harness for it that should turn it into an ambient adaptive informational display. then i had her use her spechammer and summarizer prompts to make a PRD for Egdod the Great, my codebase architecture guy. Had him make a code bible with all the modules and crap planned out. He spit a premade .md at me. I didn't look in it. Then I open codex, said "We should code this." and pasted the contents. Then hit go. ... I think it's in one of my github repos tying in the demo dashboards we made for the Frame and Forge dashboard pack. I honestly have no idea. ... Let's see what happens!

@karpathy So an architecture problem. For the moment your own mind is the only one you can really study, and that's where mine has gotten me. I like global workspace theory.

@karpathy I think this isn't far from what I've observed introspecting my own cognition. I believe there are dumb critic layers that filter for actually relevant info. But if you know your mind well enough, you can definitely watch the pure emedding like flow.

One common issue with personalization in all LLMs is how distracting memory seems to be for the models. A single question from 2 months ago about some topic can keep coming up as some kind of a deep interest of mine with undue mentions in perpetuity. Some kind of trying too hard.

Everything is Geometry. Gravitational geometry determines the causal connectivity of spacetime. Electromagnetic geometry determines the information content of spacetime. The causal influence of any information is determined by its light cone, the path light takes in space.

@infantrydort Courageous restraint? Use foul language in their general direction? Stand w/a fist raised in outrage at their actions? How that kind of crap came about, i'll never know. Actually I do. Kicked in when Billary wanted Adjudants to serve as waiters, in 90s. Then the Musselman in 08.

This isn’t even what I dislike about General McChrystal the most. When he was our commander in Afghanistan, he told us to practice “courageous restraint”. An ROE policy that largely gave the enemy the advantage and put us on the back foot. It was so ridiculous that Netflix made a movie about it starring Brad Pitt. The movie was a joke. It was meant to be funny. Sure wasn’t that funny to some of us who lived it. I’m uninterested in his advice here. Or his opinion about behavior.
Mark Lucas 🇺🇸@MarkLucasUSA

Stanley McChrystal attacks @PeteHegseth in the NYT, saying he's 'disappointed by the current atmosphere that is communicated from the top,' saying elite operators 'weren't braggadocious' and 'didn't beat their chest.' This from a cocky general who was fired for running his mouth to Rolling Stone.

Nothing new under the sun. I'm certain physics has been solved and peer review was a way to bury the evidence. Drown us in content. The needles in the haystack will turn up but can be easily hidden again. Assasinations. Quackery. Defunding. Too easy.
