FX Problems? We’ve seen it, We’ve felt it & We’ll solve it! Building with an amazing team & backed by a progressive chain & community on @avax, I’m quite certain of this! Great story by @j_mintys

“Pick your cofounder wisely, pick someone you like because at the end of the day, you’re looking at them from a human perspective.” - Agbona Igwemoh Two entrepreneurs from Nigeria met at a wedding, immediately realized they had a shared vision, and now they’re building @ChissProtocol an Avalanche protocol to transform FX markets in Africa & Turkey. Here’s their story 👇

I was reading a Bloomberg piece about Nasdaq working on integrating crypto infrastructure directly into Wall Street’s core systems, and it says a lot about where things are actually heading. Not in the loud, headline-grabbing way people expect, but in a quiet, almost boring way. They’re not launching a shiny new crypto product. They’re plugging blockchain rails into the same plumbing that already powers traditional markets. That’s the part most people miss. Real adoption doesn’t look dramatic. It looks like this. Slow integration into existing systems until the line between “crypto” and “finance” disappears completely. At that point, nobody is arguing about whether crypto has won or not, because it’s no longer a separate category. It’s just part of how the system runs.

. @ultramarketsxyz is live on mainnet. We’re in private beta does not mean testnet. Everything you see is real money and trades being executed on Polymarket. The reason for private beta is because we want to really test out our risk models in a controlled production environment and it has helped us addressed a ton of lapses in our designs. Grateful for all the traders actively using the product and giving us feedback❤️

Stablecoins have had a strange reputation. For a long time they were seen as the boring part of crypto, the part without excitement or upside. But that framing was always wrong. Stability is the feature, not a limitation. The most meaningful financial infrastructure is never the flashiest. It’s the stuff that just works consistently, that people can rely on, that solves a real problem without asking them to take on unnecessary risk. That’s what stablecoins are becoming for a lot of people in markets where the alternative is a currency that keeps losing value. The boring things, done well, tend to matter the most in the long run.

The Nigerian tech ecosystem today is not the same one from half a decade ago. Something has quietly changed. The energy is still there but it feels more focused now, less about making noise and more about doing the actual work. There was a time when the ecosystem was riding a wave of excitement. Funding was flowing, big announcements were everywhere, and everyone seemed to have the next billion dollar idea. That season got tested hard. The hype faded, the market got difficult, and a lot of what looked solid turned out not to be. But the people who stayed, who kept building through that, came out the other side with something more valuable than momentum. They came out with real understanding. That’s what a maturing ecosystem looks like. Not louder, not flashier. Just deeper, more serious, and more honest about what it actually takes.

Stablecoins solved a real problem. Now the work is making people care. Not through better marketing or louder announcements. But through products that fit so naturally into daily life that people use them without thinking twice.

The more time you spend building in the stablecoin space, the more you realize the technology was never the hard part. The rails exist. The infrastructure is there. What actually slows everything down is people. Not in a bad way, but in a very human way. People carry old beliefs about money. They trust what they grew up with. They move slowly toward what they don’t fully understand yet. So the real work is not just writing code or raising a round. It is sitting with that reality and building products patient enough to meet people where they are. That is what this space actually demands from founders.

We have to put in a lot of effort into sensitizing our people and creating as much awareness as possible about the tech. We've done a lot but we can still do even better. Also, we should push to incorporate the tech into existing finance solutions. If Nigerians can adopt opay, they can adopt @FinnaHQ

@aAgbona @lex_node Ah yes, finally! Working with representations, perceptions, as constraints or opportunities, is what matters too. And it’s what designers should focus on.

@aAgbona "building products patient enough to meet people where they are" is the most underrated skill in crypto. the best rails in the world don't matter if the first interaction feels foreign.

There is a thin line between healthy competition and quiet surveillance. Competition is part of how things grow. When people are building in the same space, they naturally push each other. One team ships something interesting, another team raises the bar. Everyone moves faster. Customers get better products. The ecosystem improves. That kind of competition is healthy. It sharpens thinking. It forces better execution. It keeps everyone honest about the value they’re actually creating. But there’s a point where it stops being healthy. You start seeing moves that aren’t driven by vision anymore. Every decision becomes a reaction. People aren’t building from conviction. They’re building from observation. A feature drops somewhere. A similar feature appears somewhere else a few days later. Messaging starts sounding the same. Roadmaps start looking suspiciously familiar. At that point it’s no longer competition. It’s surveillance. And the funny thing is, copying momentum rarely creates momentum. It only makes you permanently one step behind the people you’re watching. The builders who last usually aren’t the ones checking over their shoulders every week. They’re the ones too busy building their own thing.
