@CyclingLawLDN The driver needs to be locked up for a very long time and, if he's ever released, given a lifetime driving ban. Could murder could be tricky to prove, though? While he deliberately hit the cyclist, can the prosecution prove that his intention was to kill, rather than injure?

@nateinthewild I think it's flipping them over so the label is on the bottom, presumably so a camera on the conveyor can read them. Would be just as easily solved by adding an extra camera pointing downwards.

Am I missing something here? The robot is pushing packages from left to right, wouldn’t a conveyor belt do this exact same job at 10x efficiency and 1% the cost?

Here's one example of how utterly insane British planning and building is: this is a tube station 35 minutes away from the City of London, the financial capital of Europe. Most of the surrounding land is farms and empty fields.

Just got out of a community board meeting to advise on an application for a new smoke shop in my district. Applicant is a 29 year old immigrant from Yemen. Has $600,000 in the bank. Where did this money come from? How is this not a major red flag for investigators? When a 29 year old from a third world country known only for terrorism has $600k in the bank and is using it to degrade a quiet American neighborhood with a smoke shop that literally nobody here wants or asked for, it seems like a pretty big problem. Meanwhile ordinary Americans can barely pay their bills.

@AutoPap When I tried one in the showroom, the seats felt quite hard to me, like there's not much padding in them. I thought I'd find it uncomfortable over a long distance. Other than that, though, I think they're great.

@LUDENClassics The Ghibli II, and the Cup in particular, is one of those 'if you know, you know' cars among enthusiasts. Not as shouty as owning a Ferrari, but it has a style all its own. Yes, I know they can be fragile, but the want is very strong.
