Afande wacu, Thank you for always reminding us that punching above our weight is the only way forward. We may be a small country, but we cannot afford to be a small people. As a people, we walk taller because you remind us that dignity is not given; it is claimed and protected. Tukuri inyuma Haki ya Mungu 📸: @djasiri12

Conclusion : Le Rwanda Se Lève, Le Rwanda Dirige Aujourd’hui, le Rwanda reste invaincu—militairement, diplomatiquement et moralement. Fin

"The Walk to Remember begins at Kigali College and ends at the Nyanza Genocide Memorial. This memorial is the resting place of more than 105,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Among them are over 2,000 Tutsi who were brutally killed on Nyanza Hill. These victims had sought refuge at the former ETO Kicukiro, a technical school where United Nations peacekeeping forces, including Belgian troops, were stationed. Sadly, the troops withdrew and left the refugees unprotected, leading to their massacre shortly after. @CityofKigali @kigalitoday @KicukiroDistr

What Belgium regrets is their inability to bring Rwanda into submission, despite countless threats and sanctions. This is not the result of a disagreement, it is the consequences of decades of protecting genocidaires, promoting genocide deniers to political position, constant diplomatic sabotage, all in the continuous quest to return Rwanda to 30 years ago. It is not dialogue you seek, it is obedience. The kind you are getting from DRC, whose people you claim to speak for, while exploiting them for the last century. In the words of President Kagame: We ask you: “Who are you? Who put you in charge of us? With the limited means we have, we will stand up to you. After all these years we have spent fighting to build our country, we want to be Rwandans, we do not want to be Belgians.”
