I wrote a book!! For anyone told “you just need to pace yourself” but given no help to do so. For you, reading this, exhausted and stressed and on the path to burnout. For me, age 15, diagnosed with ME/CFS and sent away with a one-page flyer on pacing. amzn.eu/d/4zgaP6U

@MissionsRN Apologies I'm only now checking Twitter!! I *think* it was recorded, best thing to do would be to email hello@sicofficial.co.uk and see if it can be shared 😁

@a_e_arthur Oh I'm just seeing this... I so wish I could have been a part of this zoom. Is there anyway to get a recording of this event or perhaps notes, outline.... 🫶🏼

I've been away from X for a while so I know it's likely most won't see this... but if you're disabled, chronically ill and/or neurodivergent and would one day love to write a book, this *free* online event is for you! Hope to see some of you there! eventbrite.co.uk/e/how-to-get-i…

This article makes me so, so angry. Full of falsehoods about PIP, as Frances & others point out. But it also perpetuates the idea that 'invisible' conditions have an extraordinary burden of proof upon them – a belief that has done so much harm to those w/ME (& now Long Covid).

Hi @thetimes. One of your columnists, Matthew Parris, writes that PIP is for people “medically unfit to work.” This isn’t remotely true. PIP is a non-means tested benefit to pay for the extra costs of disability. Will your editors correct it? Thanks. thetimes.com/comment/column…

Here's my letter to MPs and Peers. Some key points: - current fear-driven narratives around tech use are disempowering people - no clear evidence base for blanket bans being useful - building digital literacy skills is essential, for young people as well as parents/caregivers

Well yes I am excited for the new @Imaginedragons album, but looking at the cover all I can see is a giant rubber duck looming over the horizon:

One in five adults worldwide is living with fatigue. The general advice is to “do more” - but this isn’t the only solution to our exhaustion epidemic, says @a_e_arthur. #Echobox=1713710675" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">newscientist.com/article/mg2623…

This is not one of those posts that will make you feel bad about your own sleeping habits. It is a post about appreciating the beauty of nature, doing something different every once in a while, and connecting with the world simply by watching the sunrise. amyearthur.substack.com/p/rising-with-…

Hello, all. I don't spend much time on X now, but I thought I'd share my new Substack. It's called 'compare notes' and it's where I'm writing about creativity, exploring the great outdoors, noticing more and worrying less. And probably a few more things! open.substack.com/pub/amyearthur…

Pace Yourself is out in the US today!! The @DiversionBooks cover is gorgeous and sits beautifully with the UK version 😍 "The perfect book for the huge numbers of people struggling with fatigue in the 21st century." —Claudia Hammond, author of The Art of Rest

Breaking my X/Twitter hiatus to post about something exciting today! (But there's no way I'm re-downloading the app on my phone – I'm loving being social media free)

I know that it doesn't have to be this way. That I can find a way back to enjoying beautiful photos, thoughtful statements and inspirational content. I just need to be a bit happier in myself first. See you all in a bit, then?

I just know that for all the time I spend on social media, I only feel negativity: jealousy at others' achievements, their spotless homes, glass-like skin, happy families.

I can't be here any more. By 'here' I mean social media. Not just Twitter/X – I'm logging out of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook. I don't know how long for. [🧵]
