"I wonder how many people will one day sit with their grandchildren and admit they were fence-sitters during Alberta’s defining moment. That they were too scared to sign the Stay Free Alberta independence petition. Too worried about what their friends, family, or coworkers might think. Or that they simply hoped Canada would somehow “go back to the way it was,” so they stayed silent and didn’t vote. History rarely remembers the cautious. It remembers those who had the courage to stand when it mattered."

I’m seeing reports that signature collection is really picking up! Hearing that we’ve reached the statutory threshold has motivated even more Albertans to get out and sign — showing their strong support for a better, independent Alberta. If you’re tired of the status quo, now’s the time to sign and spread the word. Your signature counts! Just like your Albertan vote will count for the first time in Alberta’s history on October 19, 2026.

62% of Albertans voted to end equalization on Oct 21, 2018. Knowing full well that the ONLY way equalization will end for Alberta is through independence, why wouldn't 62% of voting Albertans vote in favor of independence? 1/2 elections.ab.ca/elections/refe…

The Water Efficiency Plan Update passed Committee yesterday and goes to Council a month from now.  In my view, Calgary does not have a water shortage… we have an infrastructure problem.  The City uses only 43% of its licensed water allocation… meaning we have plenty of water.   The 2024 crisis was as result of a neglected water main breaking, not the river running dry. Yet this plan proposes: - permanent mandatory watering schedules; - authority to city officials to shut off household water for non-compliance; - enforcement that relies on neighbours reporting (snitching on) neighbours. All while the City loses 22% of treated water to its own leaking infrastructure… by far worst of any city in Canada. I along with other Councillors raised these concerns at Committee.  I'll be posting a survey on this soon, as the Administration's 'public engagement' was weak. Stay tuned. What do you think? @RobWardCGY Yes because Chinook centre train station and surrounding area is absolutely overrun with crime, open drug and alcohol consumption, and homeless people. It’s a mess.

Calgary Police are redrawing district boundaries due to rising call volumes. Chinook Centre is moving from the downtown district to District 6. That matters! Chinook generates a high number of calls, and this change should improve response times and resource allocation in Ward 11. livewirecalgary.com/2026/04/02/sur…

It’s been 44,042 days since Alberta entered a broken confederation without a recorded vote in Parliament, I might add. It has been 13,066 days since a federal government last attempted structural changes to the Constitution to make canada work for all provinces. Jason Kenney, university professors, media talking heads, and all the way down to Tommy L keep saying, with false empathy, that they understand our real frustrations and grievances, yet they never offer any concrete solutions beyond “we must work on it within Canada.” I cannot stand people who bring problems but offer no solutions. Alberta patriots are actually bringing a solution, and their critics aren’t countering it with anything of substance. That leaves us with one solution: Alberta independence.

Ottawa wants to spend $90 Billion on high-speed rail between Toronto and Quebec City. That's $4000 out of the pocket of every Canadian taxpayer to fund something that 99% will never use. As usual, Western Canadians will be paying to subsidize Ontario and Quebec. Insanity.

At their most recent convention, the CPC membership voted down a motion to get rid of DEI, stating that “it would be too divisive”. The fact is that the CPC are nearly as WOKE as the other parties. Case in point: look at PP’s two deputies. A Sikh, and a lesbian LGBTQ lobbyist.

Juno News's @Harry__Faulkner asked Poilievre about the NDP's equity cards and pronoun debates at their latest convention. He replied: "The Canadian people want us to focus on... making the country affordable, safe, and strong. Everything else is a distraction from that."

Calgary is getting an outrageous 8.1% property tax increase. The City of Calgary portion increased by 1.2%. The Provincial portion of the tax increased by 19.8% for residential & 8.8% for non-residential. Absolutely disgusting. The UCP needs to cut that asap. #yyccc
