Check out the most recent work from the @NeurosurgeryOSU spine oncology group! Preoperative spine embolization may be beneficial for more than just mitigating intraop blood loss. We observed an improvement in local control after embolization followed by decompression and SBRT.

Another win for the democratization of thrombectomy. MR CLEAN late results just presented at @WorldStrokeOrg meeting showed benefit of EVT within 6-24 hrs when patients are selected based on presence of collaterals on CTA, rendering CTP, MRI & perfusion software non-essential.

At #WSC2022 Singapore MR CLEAN LATE RCT results: 6-24 hrs from LKW, NIHSS 2-10, ICA or M1 LVO w/ any collateral on CTA. MT results in 70% chance of reduced disability. This expands upon DAWN criteria. A big win for #stroke!
