yeah its particularly frustrating seeing companies that have raised significant capital pivot to enterprise use cases. why not try something new instead of just being another way to interact with claude on your computer? the whole point of consumer (imo) is to build for the common man, not people using living in terminal land all day. but, alas.

@aaaronwill Not inevitable imo, I just think consumer is a tough category with a lot of competition and not much money, so really great consumer products are rare to emerge. I also think frankly most teams aren't prepared to play the decades-long game it can take to win in consumer

i keep watching cool consumer companies lose their magic to try and make their product functional in the workplace. is this just inevitable?
