The IBMS supports @CR_UK's new manifesto which claims that 20,000 annual UK cancer deaths are avoidable. It’s time pathology services are recognised as integral to all clinical pathways, and as a significant enabler of elective and cancer recovery. ibms.org/resources/news…

Two weeks today, the updated standards of proficiency come into effect. All HCPC registrants will need to meet the updated standards as far as they relate to their scope of practice. There’s never been a better time to start researching and reflecting. hcpc-uk.org/updated-sop

The most effective leaders know how to connect with people. It's not about power or popularity, but about making the people around you feel heard, comfortable, and understood.

New Stanford study on how much leaders communicate & the impact it creates. 4 key conclusions: 1) Leaders are nearly 10X as likely to be criticised by their teams for under-communicating than for over-communicating 2) Leaders who under-communicate are seen as having less empathy & less leadership ability by their teams 3) Leaders are judged much more harshly by their teams for under-communicating than for over-communicating 4) Leaders should adjust their communication patterns by communicating more, even if it leads to the (relatively minor) risk of being seen as communicating too much: journals.aom.org/doi/full/10.54… (paywall sorry).
