God created Man. Man created this Man > God

@ankit_auth It is called Mathura pedha here in Vadodara. Been having them since childhood whenever i come here. You have to try it. Dharwad pedha is a close ish version but it is too sweet.

@aakashb_95 what’s this beaut that I’ve entirely missed in my life?

“Also search for real world examples and let’s discuss why they chose what they chose and which could work for my case”
All this while using speech to text tools, eyes closed (if i am doing a brain dump lasting > 2mins) so i don’t lose my trail of thought.

my typical input to codex is like: "okay I want to achieve X. but I can think of like 4 ways of doing it. if we do Y we have to deal with Z. if we do A we have to deal with B. I think? maybe? idk what I'm talking about. is there some way to do C without D? what do you think?"

Fermion is joining TestPress.
In early 2021, right out of college, I started a company to help students and professionals learn to code faster through a unique experience of in-browser IDE practice-based courses.
Working on it for ~2.5 years, I realized I always have been more excited by the 'tech' than the 'ed' in edtech, and so was the team.
We pivoted to Fermion in mid-2024, reused the learnings from Codedamn, and built many new infrastructure pieces that every ed-tech like Codedamn needs to operate at its best. (Livestreaming, Sandbox containers, DSA coding task runners, personalised AI educator, marketing tooling, etc.)
Earlier this year, I started chatting with the founders of TestPress, a Chennai-based company doing what we are doing for far longer than us. This eventually led to acquisition talks.
Talking with them, I figured that TestPress is a better home for what we've built, to take forward what we have accomplished so far with our hundreds of educational businesses and build the future of education infrastructure.
I'll be helping with the transition to @TestpressIn team over the next few weeks. All existing infrastructure, services, and support will continue to function as usual. We'll also shortly resume signups and demo calls on Fermion.
Thank you, everyone, who was part of this long journey, all the customers who believed in us, our investors, and employees who helped build Codedamn and then Fermion, friends and family who were always there.
It is a bittersweet moment for me. With this acquisition done today, I'll be taking some time off to figure out what to do next. It's a brave new world with AI rising, and my next adventure would likely be around that, in a different country - more on this soon!

The greatest skill you can acquire is to learn to have a really good time by yourself.
And that does not mean binge watching Netflix, or scrolling on social media. That is you trying to escape yourself and your life. But spending time doing things where you are actively involved like cooking, playing music, reading, learning a new skill etc.
People who can do that well also make for great friends, colleagues, neighbours. Their cup is always full so they come out into the world with good energy. They are not seeking someone to make them feel better, instead they are the person who makes everyone else feel good.

@aakashb_95 They are sharing resources and there is no check I think

The more you use ai tools, you start spotting degradation across the board as public usage increases. Seeing this now with codex, wisprflow, and earlier with claude. I think they have to optimise inference all the time, and that results in these shifts in behaviours.
Things start with consistently being reliable to sometimes inconsistent to borderline unusable, and then a new model comes across and the cycle repeats.
Or it is a skill issue on my end as i don’t adapt my ways enough to get more out of the models. Could very well be the latter, but it does feel a fair few times like it’s the former.

@ankit_pfc Oh yes, the API prices reflect that, gpt-5.5 is 4x expensive than gpt-5
Matter of time the subscription subsidy reduces
English

@aakashb_95 I feel once it goes from niche to mass, the access to inference is averaged. people like you and me will have to end up paying more soon.
