Just saying !!! While hope-scrolling X today, was struck with a few thoughts. Maybe you resonate or not, wish you your own opinions. To me: - I see more collectors who appreciate the art that they resonate with, cutting through the noise - there are more expressions and honest connections with an art work - there is validation through interests and sometimes purchases when wallets permit - artists who kept on creating honestly, suddenly finding themselves in the spotlight - genuine open calls where patrons are interesting in being the voice of artists - a lot of work behind the scenes in terms of GC, gathering of like minded people and promotions Yes liquidity is low, there is still noise, there is still debate on attributes of market and market dynamics but HEY, we are only 5 years old in an early marketplace. Think of the artists who were in the digital art space for last 20 years- who never even had another fellow mate in their lonely plod to do what they had passion for !! So I wish you a raging fire of your passion and your bubbling creativity. Love respect and admiration, for each of you. Always. Seriously !!

@aalbertoo Love it. Taste makers of the wealthy often pump a dead person art to avoid attribution for tax evasion schemes. Rewarding living artists allows new art to reward collectors as well.

This scene in Andrei Tarkovsky's "The Sacrifice" (1986) was shot twice. In the first take, when the house started to burn, the film in the camera jammed & couldn't be reloaded in time to capture everything. The producers and some of the crew members wanted Tarkovsky to use edited footage to complete the film. Tarkovsky, who had never compromised for his art, persuaded them that a retake was necessary, since he believed that this scene was the soul and essence of the movie. For the retake, the house was reconstructed within 2 weeks & it was set on fire again. This time everything went according to plan. Remembering the legendary filmmaker, Andrei Tarkovsky, on his 94th birthday!
