The Arkansas Legislature just funded another year of universal vouchers grift, which will not raise test scores or improve educational outcomes. Indeed, research shows vouchers will make those outcomes worse, while blowing an ever-bigger hole in the state budget.

Congratulations to the Arkansas media! For the first time in state history, they have taken an interest in “limiting spending.”
Obamacare couldn’t do it.
Numerous new welfare programs couldn’t do it.
Public school spending ballooning to $6 billion/year couldn’t do it.
Medicaid comprising 1/3 of all state spending couldn’t do it.
Every state employee getting a raise couldn’t do it.
It took education freedom—letting kids go to a school that fits their needs—to finally catch their eye. Congrats!

I’ve spent my entire life focusing on the success and well being of student athletes. Their success in both sports and academics is paramount. I have no problem with Athletes making money and I have had that stance for many years.
But what we have been dealing with the last few years is harmful not only to their total success but also the longevity of College Sports as we know it. Yesterday, President Trump took bold action to preserve and protect Collegiate Athletics. I urge Congress to pass bipartisan legislation and SAVE COLLEGE SPORTS!
